The 3 spoke is there for the Sportline trim and the 2 spoke is the new futuristic steering for the L&K.

Going by international reviews, it looks nicer in person than in pics and looks modern. Obviously it won't work on Sportline trim but looks ideal for the L&K.

That's a cool 2L up for both variants from 2020 ex-showroom. Good upgrades, but any MY2020 stock will be attractive to buy.

Key changes are of course already highlighted on the thread, no surprises inside. Was expecting Drive Modes on sport line, but nope, only L&K gets it.

Of the new additions, only the L&K gets 360 deg cams and Handsfree park assist.

Some nice-to-have updates on the model, but don't think they they are worth the ~2.5L increase (including the registration) and the discounts that were available for the MY2020 models over the last couple of months.

For someone who wants to buy and is okay with not having these features and potentially limited colours, they should be able to get MY2020 models at >15% discount over the new pricing.

Replying to my own comment to clarify - The colour is Lava Blue according to the brochure, but it looks very different in person.

Wouldn't that make Superb around 45 lacs OTR for Bangalore, quite a bit of money that. I would rather look for a year old pre owned BMW 3 series in that price bracket.

43-44L not 45 for sure. The outgoing car was close to 42L but had 3-4L discounts on it as well.

Without discounts the Superb will not be an easy sell and with the new 320Ld even more.

If the 320Ld is priced less than 60L expect many to upgrade to the badge. However even at 43-44L not many cars come close to the Superb package.

Classic way to make sure Octavia 2L TSI pricing and Superb pricing are well spread / also makes up-selling that much easier! Else why would they even get the Sportline up by 2L?

Even though I cannot afford to get this car anytime soon, one thing is bugging me about the interior, the steering wheel. The twin spoke wheel just doesn’t look right for some reason and this is something that will always be visible to the person driving. It reminds me off the steering wheel from the gen 1 Wagon R, Alto. Ecco etc.

Yes it still reminds me of the Gen1 Wagon R.
For me two spoke wheels are an eye sore, no matter which vehicle has it. It is just a personal preference.

Projector headlights is a welcome addition. New two spoke steering might be a hit or a miss.

This facelift makes the Superb a real contender for the A6 cross shopper. Every bit an A6 at almost 60% price. Only snob value of Audi is missing. This car will get seriously looked at by my family when it comes time to change our sedan in 12 to 18 months time (hoping discounts kick in by then)

Nice updates but not worth the extra amount though.
That steering wheel they had showcased it on the upcoming OCTAVIA, It's for upcoming model but Skoda didn't wait & they first Installed it on the SUPERB.
IMO that two spoke steering will be standard on upcoming Octavia (Leather wrapped for higher trims & without leather for lower trims)
