re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

The rear end design is better than the ongoing model, but I think the front end on the ongoing model looks better.

Maybe MSIL can provide a turbo petrol engine rather than the 1.5L NA petrol one.

If it is based on the Heartect platform, I have a genuine fear about it's NCAP rating because we know how other cars based on Heartech platform fared in the crash tests.

I hope MSIL has understood that Indians are now moving towards safety-centric vehicles and not fuel efficient ones on which their whole portfolio of cars is based on and I really wish to see a Maruti car have a 5 star NCAP rating in the near future.

See the red circles. Downward projection on ORVMs. Can we expect 360° Camera. Wow.

Never expected this to be such a big update. Will hold on to our booking for the current Brezza to switch to this one. This seems production ready. The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh-screenshot_20211120112607.jpg

There is a lot of Toyota influence in the design in my opinion. The headlamps give me fortuner vibes and the interior too has toyota inspiration in a good way. Seems to be well equipped and a 6 speed torque converter would make this a perfectly rounded package for the C-SUV market.

Looks like Suzuki's cooperation with Toyota is showing its results. This has a very Toyota-esque/Japanese feel to it (which recent Marutis haven't really given off). Looks like Suzuki-san has finally woken up! And I can also bet that the automatic transmission is going to be Toyota's CVT as it has been localised through the Yaris which was sold here, and it is compatible with the paddle shifters we can see here too. Well, as much as CVTs suck, they sure beat a 4-speed torque converter from the 80s.

Tail lamps are clearly inspired from the Rav 4 or Suzuki badged A cross.

Seems promising, only if they can get right on the safety aspect.

Also now I firmly believe that these pictures are intentionally leaked by Suzuki marketing department. Otherwise how come all the photos are of exciting new features at perfect angles to highlight them and yet Suzuki doesn't stop these "illegal" leaks.
Yes, definitely looks intentional. Even the speedometer displays SOS option. They have voluntarily leaked these pics highlighting all new features. Now only presence of six airbags is yet to be confirmed.

Looks good to me!
They dropped the Vitara name because frankly I don't remember anyone calling it by Vitara name, they only called it "Brezza" or incorrectly as Breeza!

I think they will launch the International Vitara here. Not very sure though.

It can be Brezza, S-Cross, Vitara in the order of pricing.

Please release a CNG option in Automatic! CNG+AT+Paddle shifter would be my ideal mean "green" mileage machine.

The existing Vitara Brezza is already GNCAP 4 stars rated with a stable bodyshell. Unless Maruti decides to do something crazy (which will totally be believable), the safety aspect should not be a concern with the Brezza.

Paddle shifters, sunroof, possibly the 360 degree cameras as the user above has posted. Is this really a Maruti?!

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

If I had to bet, I'd say the paddle shifters are mated to a CVT. A 6 speed TC on a NA is unlikely, given that Maruti's USP is the FE on offer. The mild hybrid/TC experiment didn't work out, esp given how much more expensive the AT variant was made by the hybrid tech - all for the sake of avoiding a low FE number being attached to a Suzuki badge.

With the weight reduction the heartect platform offers, I expect surprising FE numbers from this Brezza. Lightweight cars don't automatically translate to unsafe, sheet metal doesn't provide safety - the structure does.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

I don't think a 6 speed torque converter is likely. The CVT from Baleno is a possibility . I wish they smash it out of the park with a 5 star rating. It is not very difficult since Brezza is already 4 star rated. Tata must be worried now. If at all it comes with a good safety rating, then Nexon with its AMT will become the weakest player in the segment.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

Somebody is going to be in big trouble at Suzuki India. These are not typical Suzuki marketing leaks. This is a company person in action. Good for us as we get a detailed sneak peak but I imagine Suzuki would be furious.

Coming back to the details from the leaked images, I don't think this is the highest variant inspite of the kit already on display with the Brezza dual tone missing. Maybe that would come only with the manual transmission option.
However it may also be possible that testing vehicles are made in solid colours only. Also, the size of display indicates likelihood of a 9-10 inch touchscreen audio display set up.

Wow! Paddle shifters, sunroof, 360 degree cameras - finally maruti is waking up from its sleep. Long overdue features- I had almost given up on the idea of Maruti ever putting a sunroof on their cars.

Also, I don’t think a July 2022 launch will leak this early, hoping to see this on the roads sooner. I hope the new baleno also gets all of these. It’s going to be a exciting year ahead!
