Hi,
Do you have any ideas about the timelines for launch of the new Brezza? I read thru some earlier posts that said Q3 2021 but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I do not know specifics but production readiness should be in Q1 FY2022-23 as per my understanding. Launch and Start of Sales is governed by other factors.

In that case one has to drive over 73000 kms in less than 7 years to recover the cost of SHVS.
If the running is so much it is better to go for a Diesel.

Maruti Suzuki will ditch the "Vitara" name, and the new compact SUV will just be called the "Maruti Suzuki Brezza".

Brezza CNG could be introduced simultaneously along with the facelifted petrol version.

Same engine, with the same output...

Really hope they are not planning to give paddle shifter control in the 4spd auto box itself.

Looks like the upcoming D22/YFG(?) will definitely get the Vitara name.

Initial reports said that launch date is July 2022. Has the date changed?

I hope that the length of this vehicle is more than 4m.. there is no point on keeping it sub 4m as it has already lost the bracket with a 1.5L engine.

Brezza confirmed ( by ACI) to get the 6AT (TC) with paddle shifter.

Maruti’s successful compact SUV will be far more comprehensive than to the Ertiga. We expect substantial changes to the exterior and interior, including new infotainment and lots more equipment, and even the possibility of a CNG variant. As for the 6AT, it could be offered with paddle shifters in the Brezza.

Isn't the tax benefit available up to 1.5 lt engine capacity?

If I'm not mistaken, the 1.5 lt limit is for diesel engines. For Petrol, the limit was always 1.2 lt. I guess when Brezza moved from Diesel to Petrol guise, the prices did not vary much at all probably because they had to use a 1.5 lt engine, which negated any effect of a possibly cheaper petrol version.

Do we know tentative launch date? Earlier it was said as July, then there were reports of April launch.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

Been planning to get a brezza for my father to replace his aging SX4. Does it make sense to wait? He's not very keen on flashy gadgets and stuff.

Will there be any major changes to the facelift?

Unfortunately (or otherwise), Maruti is going behind the new trend of all gadgetries - new Baleno and Brezza may most probably get all those new age things. More reasons for system failures, more reasons for service centre inability / service issues, more reasons for unhappy buyers.

There are going to be quite a lot of changes this time around. In fact, much more than what we got when the diesel was discontinued and a the petrol engine brought in. It could reflect in the price too.
