Damn! Why would they not put AT prices! In an case from the looks of it the ex-showroom prices have been bumped up by about 30-50K

I guess I should stop following this thread. Seems like another over priced launch to me, personally. I'm guessing AT would be another 1.5 lakhs or so above this.

Re: Jeep Compass Facelift unveiled

The pricing is confusing. S variant starts at 24.5 lacs ex-showroom. The previous generation limited plus 4x2 Diesel MT variant started at 22.4 lacs and 4x4 AT was 25.1 lacs. Does that mean the new S variant 4x4 AT will be priced around 27.2 lacs ex-showroom? The previous generation TrailHawk was priced at 27.6 lacs ex-showroom. They managed to evade the feel of a price hike by shuffling the variant line-up. I just had a word with the dealer and they don't have the prices of all variants yet.

Re: Jeep Compass Facelift unveiled

Does anyone know about the offers on the pre-facelift Compass? Now with the new launch I am guessing there will be an inventory cleanup. Always liked how the car looked and can go for one if the deal is great.

With this pricing, Jeep seems to have decided that Compass will be niche product. No Sport trim in diesel and no manual 4x4.

Pre-owned JC makes all the more sense now. On another note, in Jeep website, older model is still listed.

The S Variant is a Special Variant which is the Highest Variant now . It is different from the Entry level Sports variant which is still there now.
The Hierarchy of variants now will be:

Sports
Longitude O
Limited O
Anniversary Edition
S Version

They have simplified the range and removed the earlier Longitude and Limited and Limited Plus variants which were also there in the lineup earlier.
Trailhawk version also doesn't seem to be there (yet) and it is likely than Limited O and higher variants should get options of 4x4 and AT gearboxes. Prices for all variants should be out in a few days.

Re: Jeep Compass Facelift unveiled

This ridiculous new trend of manufacturers holding back prices of fully loaded automatic variants to avoid sticker shock has to end.

Coming back to the car, looks like 4x4 will only be available on the 9-Speed Auto on the new Compass.

I don't think so. When you look at the prices, the Anniversary Edition sits below the 'S' and slightly above the Limited (O). I think the Anniversary Edition is just a Limited (O) with minor cosmetic changes like the 80th Anniversary badges.

Yup. The Model 'S' is still the top variant. The anniversary edition is probably the Night Eagle equivalent.
