Looks like the combination of old NorthWest Airlines (minus the circle) and Indian Airlines logos to me ! I actually like the 1986 smokestack logo

Just a few days ago, I was telling myself that the only thing that looks bad on a Seltos is the KIA logo. That logo is pretty lame and lacks any kind of sophistication.

Looks like they are out to prove me wrong. If the old one was lame, the new one looks... er, unfinished. It looks better on the car above with the spacing between the letters, but the actual logo is plain horrible and does not seem to convey anything.

I understand, the designers didn't have much to work with. A three letter word called KIA is definitely not brimming with possibilities. They should have simply found a new name, if required. For sure they can do a better job than what Fiat did with Stellantis.

Man, this is what failure looks like!

I just saw a video of Kia's logo reveal, shared by brand ambassador Rafael Nadal on Twitter. It is in the Guinness book for "Most UAVs launching fireworks simultaneously" lol

And it looks way better in just white than this matrix kind of thing. And I guess they're expounding (?!) on the new logo in an event on Jan 15.

Some years ago, Delhi's Red Line buses gained notoriety as Killer Buses, that snuffed out a number of lives every week. The solution that some wise chaps in the government thought up was, change the name to Blue Line, change the livery of the buses from red to blue, and the 'red for danger' reputation of the buses will be resolved, and loss of lives will stop. Obviously, it didn't solve any problems.

Kia's change of logo at a time when their reputation is taking a beating in India can be equated with the Red-Line-to-Blue-Line name change.

Don't know what it symbolizes but that 1964 logo is great!
New one is somewhat cryptic too but not in a good way. I do feel the prior logo was too dull and needed a little flair but not like this.

The current logo has the perception of a budget car maker. With the new logo, KIA can position itself as a premium brand.

I prefer the old one. One doesn't alter an "identity" this radically: it will require a lot of education and other expensive PR exercises for people to identify it as a KIA. A step in the wrong direction for sure. It's like a mid life crisis and one changes one's 'signature', totally. Wonder if they believe in kundli and jyothish in S.Korea. Kya kiya KIA?

The logo change makes sense. Even though KIA makes excellent cars these days, they have super bad reputation here in US due to their bad past. People often change the logo to the simple "K" logo as soon as they take the delivery.

This happens everywhere I guess. Because even here I see most of the high-end Kia owners switch to that custom "K" logo on their cars. Especially the owners of " Cerato/Forte Koup " and " Stinger ".

I like 1944 one.

Though it is similar of current Mitsubishi logo, they could have made it classy yet modern with some tweaks in shape. IMHO, creating modern emblem with such small name would be easier and should look good too.

Although improving, I still don't think you can 150k km of reliable service from a Kia compared to a Toyota or Honda in India. They still have a long way to go before they can catch up to the Japanese competition.

Brilliant!! I may be the few ones that actually liked the new logo but this edit simply makes it perfect. Although, now it no longer matches their slogan description that says "unbroken line representing its commitment to bring moments of inspiration”

The existing logo is simple and elegant,if not classy. The new logo looks too busy to my liking. Don't really understand the rationale behind this.

The new logo totally looks like a man doing pushup/yoga. Head on the left hand side and feet on the right hand side with the hands and knees in the middle.

Sort of suits the Hindi meaning "Kia".

That being said, I prefer the simple KIA logo. Not even the custom one which doesn't look like it has distinct identity.
