Hello, where in Pune did you get the plates fitted?

I am going to apply via mhhsrp website as well

In Yerwada, Rushabh TVS did the fitting of new HSRP for one of my friend's old bike, and took additional Rs. 330/- for the outer frame fitting, saying that it will help the plate remain straight and stable, and it won't bend in case of accidents.

I assume that these outer frames are not mandatory?

So my HSRP was to be delivered to Andheri was per print out but as per the track HSRP status it has been delivered to Powai. Now I am not sure where
to go? Appointment scheduled for tomorrow.

Edit:- I reprinted the invoice and now it showing the updated address on the same. Suggest you guys check status before heading to the fitment centre.

It's not a license plate, rather a windshield sticker which mentions the registration date of the vehicle along with the unique ID numbers of front and rear number plates.

Thanks, I'm aware of that, though some new requirement now:). Haryana started HSRP long back and it is listed as Windshield sticker with fuel color coding here.

The plastic frames are sold as accessories by the vendor and are absolutely not mandatory.

I took an appointment for my uncle's car at the Andheri Centre (Near Lotus Petrol Pump) for 1st Feb. Had selected this out of the 3 available centres just because this was closest to his house in Vile Parle and Powai/Bhandup was far. If the Andheri one is shuttered for some reason, then the very purpose is defeated!

I had selected Andheri but now got Powai. Don't even have the name of the shop properly which in the invoice is called : HSRP FITMENT CENTER [MUMBAI WEST]. The earlier dealer atleast had a name to search in google maps.

A contact in Mantralaya gave the following address for the Powai centre:

Unit no. 14/15, Solaris 1, Opp. Sanofi, Saki Vihar Road, Mumbai- 400072.

I have the address as below mentioned on the Invoice. Only the previous one at Andheri was BYD dealer so easier to search.

Outer frames are not mandatory. The 2-wheeler fitter in my case too asked if I wanted them, and I declined. He was asking for 100 bucks a piece, i.e., 200 for both front and back plates.

For my 2-wheeler, I got it fitted at Yug Honda Wakad. And for my 4-wheeler, the same was done at Maruti My Car Wakad.

Thanks for sharing the step-by-step process!

I just took an online appointment for next week at Thane.

Most fitment centre choices in Thane are Maruti Arena showrooms. I selected Fortpoint automotive at GB road. I already have plate frames. Will try and re-use those if they fit the new HSRP plates. Let's see.

Will keep you posted!:thumbs up

Thanks for sharing the info just booked the appointment for next week.

The process was smooth and wanted to mention that my car is MH07 passing but did not have any issue for taking appointment here, as many of them have mentioned as it would based on your RC registered address. But while booking I was able to select Mumbai. I don’t think it will be any problem with that.

I got it fitted from the Powai centre. Go inside the Solaris complex road. It is inside the compound area of Solaris building no 1 which is the first complex gate to the left if you enter from Saki Vihar road. Plenty of security guards who will guide you to the fitment area. Just ask for 'no plate fitting' and they will guide you. It is at the end of the complex, once inside just follow the main road inside the society area. It is next to the water tank area at the end.

This really helps. Thanks a ton Sumeet!

I wanted to know what happens if my car is registered with the MH12 (Pune RTO), and we are currently based out of a jurisdiction of MH46 (Panvel). How do I place the order, and where does it get delivered to? I know they fall under the same zone so it would be nice if anyone could share their experience with the same.

If you have updated the address then you can apply within MH46 jurisdiction. Otherwise, when you apply for the plates in the website even if you select MH46 it will take you to the jurisdiction as per RTO records. Sharing this based on the experience of my friend.

I got HSRP installed on both my 2 and 4 wheeler in Pimpri Chinchwad over the weekend. Process is quite smooth, gets done within an hour. There was an issue with riveting the plates in the back of Honda Jazz, so normal screws were used.

I did the converse: MH46 registered vehicles in MH12 jurisdiction.
Went to MHHSRP website, entered the vehicle details, completed the process. When it came to selecting the fitment center, I chose the closest one to me in Pune and completed installation yesterday.
