Re: High security registration plates (HSRP) in India

The website for booking HSRP for MH 01 (Mumbai Central) RTO is as follows:

https://hsrpmhzone2.in/

The vendor seems to be Real Mazon. Was redirected to this link from the official transport department website of the Govt of Maharashtra.

https://mhhsrp.com/GrievanceSelectState.aspx

There is a phone number as well under Contact us section if you aren't able to raise grievance : 7836888822.

Also, use laptop if possible for raising order. The website doesn't seems optimized for mobile browser, at least the one for MH-14(Real Mazon vendor) wasn't.
Thank you! I called up on the number and they provided order ID. Now I have to visit the selected dealer on the appoitment date to affix the same.

The process was straight forward and at the end, it generated an appointment pdf. I could only select a date one month out. So will get the harp plate in first week of Feb.

Also, I ordered the plates from my mobile device, did not face any issues
Thank you, Yes I ordered via same link. Will be visiting dealer as per the appoitment.

Re: High security registration plates (HSRP) in India

My car is 10th April 2019 registered, and this portal is valid only for cars upto 31st March 2019 :(

Got the following pop-ups with indication for contacting the selling dealer.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Getting the same error for MH12 also, for X3 registered in 2020. Looks like all these sites are still unbaked and hurriedly put together to meet the government's diktat at the cost of consumers' patience and time.

Any idea on how to proceed? I currently live in Bangalore and the car is registered with Pune RTO
Were you able to register mobile number?

I'm also getting following error:

"The mobile number entered is not registered in the Vahan database. Please verify the number linked to your vehicle and try again. If issues persist, check your details on the Vahan portal"

Anyone knows a way out?

I was able to update the mobile number using the below link:
https://vahan.parivahan.gov.in/vahan...berVahan.xhtml

The update would take 1-2 days. Now I'm able to place an order for HSRP.

Getting below error:
State: Maharashtra
"This Service is not allowed from Mobile Authentication in your respective state".

I had a word with a friend who informed,

Following to be done for mobile number updating by visiting respective RTO:
1. Fill a form Rs 5
2. RC Copy
3. Aadhaar Copy
4. PAN Card Copy

Successfully Obtained HSRP for Our 2017 Car

Our 2017 car is registered with MH46 (Panvel RTO). We opted to have the HSRP delivered to NBS International Mahindra (Andheri).

The appointment was scheduled for 6th January, but we received an SMS indicating that they had received the HSRP and decided to collect it today (January 4th) after confirming the appointment over the phone.

NBS International Mahindra is unaware that they are a dealer and is not offering the fitting of HSRP.

To complete this process, you may need to visit the RTO in person. Mobile number registered on the Vahan portal has to be the same that is linked to your Aadhaar card to order the HSR plates. In my case, the mobile number field was blank, so I had to visit the Andheri RTO to update it manually.

When visiting the RTO, remember to carry both the originals and photocopies of your Aadhaar card, RC (Registration Certificate), PAN card, and address proof (e.g., electricity bill). Request the mobile update form at the counter and follow the provided instructions, which typically involve obtaining signatures from various officials.

Did they simply hand over the plates to you? What about having them installed?

I’ve just ordered mine, and the vendor for MH02 is FTA. The receipt specifies that the plates won’t be delivered to directly. they’ll be installed by the dealer. It also states that no additional charges will be applied for the installation.

Indeed, the dealers simply handed over the plates. The soft copy of the receipt of payment and appointment was sufficient; they did not bother requesting the RC.

NBS is unaware that they are one of the dealers for fitment and is clueless as to why they are receiving the HSRP of different makes (I assume it is the same across other dealers as well).

I encountered the same error. They gave me a hyperlink to the Vahan portal along with this error message. I followed the steps and the number got linked immediately.

One other aspect is that, along with the new HSRP number plates the agency affixes a sticker on the front windscreen. It is supposed to be orange for diesel vehicles and blue for petrol. Ideally the dealer should confirm fuel type before sticking it.

An interesting point is, that the new HSRP number plates are printed in a standard fashion. The lettering may not align properly with where the screws of the car are situated, for fixing the number plate. They may have to drill on the car to avoid spoiling the lettering. This happened to me. I allowed them to drill for the front plates as the area was on the bumper. On the rear it would have damaged internal wiring, as the number plate is fixed on the rear hatch of the car with wiring inside a panel. It will be a good idea for owners to go for this process as these kinds of decisions are required to be made.

Dealer should install the plates (using rivet, not screw) and should not simply hand these over to the customer. Also, as mentioned below, windshield sticker should also be pasted. If you didn't receive it, I'd suggest you to check with dealer/vendor so that there is no problem with transport authorities in future.

Re: High security registration plates (HSRP) in India

I have 2 vehicles for which HSRP plates are needed - one car & one scooter. Applied for both yesterday through Rosmerta vendor (for MH12 registration). The process was smooth. I have saved the receipts and have got dates for both on 13th Jan. The option for home installation was not available for my area. So chose nearby places from their list to get it installed.
