I have got HSRP installed on all my old vehicles. But the questions is how do we verify these details in Vahan portal? I could not find any information related in HSRP in vahan.

For the new vehicles, Vahan application status shows the transaction for HSRP.

Received this error while booking a slot for my Honda Dio (registered in Mysore on September 2004).

1. Your vehicle details did not match with VAHAN records. Kindly re-check and enter correct credentials.
2. Vahan Response: Vehicle details available in Vahan but OEM/Manufacturer (Homologation) of this vehicle have not authorized you for the State/RTO of this vehicle, please contact respective OEM.

Is it a case of older vehicles (>15 years) not being eligible for a HSRP?

I am facing the same problem with my HSRP. I called a number plate shop and explained him if he can cut the numbers on a sticker and stick it on the number plate. His response was currently there is a ban on creating IND numbers plates, and if they open the shop then there is a fine of Rs 5000. Still he said he will check and call back

Vehicles beyond 15 years need a new Certificate of Fitness (CF) and are totally illegal and uninsurable if plying on public roads.

Please renew the CF first before the HSRP.

I got the same for my Bonnie

This is a 2009 model (imported in 2013) and registered in Bangalore.

I am at my wits end as to what to do

Keerthi Triumph, with whom the vehicle has been serviced and maintained has promised that they will try and help with corrections to be done with RTO

Keeping my fingers crossed

Any way to order only the windshield sticker for a BH number vehicle registered with Mumbai Central RTO? MY dealer never affixed the sticker when I got the car and I didn't notice at the time.

None of the sites mentioned here seem to list Maharashtra as a state and ordermyhsrp is not recognizing the vehicle details when I put them in. I have confirmed on the Vaahan site that the details are correct. I plan to go on a long road trip through Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Goa and was hoping to have the sticker affixed for that.

You have to go to siam website and enter your vehicle details. Then you will be pointed to the right HSRP website.

I was redirected to three different websites for three of my vehicles (bookmyhsrp, getmyhsrp, ordermyhsrp) and there could be more.

Unfortunately, the SIAM site does not have MH in the States list either; it only has DL, AS, AP, KA, MP, OD, RJ, UP, and UK. None of the sites have MH, which is really strange!

Is HSRP mandatory for a 15+ year old vehicle? Friend's 16+ year old car with MH registration did the passing last year. Is HSRP required or is it an optional thing? No police or anyone has asked him about this till now.

This debate is now over. In fact at that time we had four cars in the family with UP78 plates. So we had to get the plates in NOIDA.
