I cannot speak for the process in KA but I can speak about MH since my car is MH12 and I now live in Goa. I have to get it done in MH itself but not anywhere in MH either. MH has been divided into 3 zones with different vendors for each so you have to get the new plates fitted within the same vendor's zone. BTW, these zones are not geographically grouped to be contiguous. So basically, I had to see which other locations were in the same zone as MH12 and thus had to select a dealer from Kolhapur for fitment though the nearest MH area for me is Sindhudurg, which would have been 1 hour's drive. On the date of my appointment, I will have to drive to the dealer's location (4 hours) and get it fitted.
For KA you will have to check their portal and find out what their system is.

I had booked my HSRP number plate from Rosmerta with fitting in Kolhapur for my MH12 car. I am now in Goa and planned to drive on the date of my appointment to get the plate fitted.

Yesterday, I spoke to a guy from the fitment centre and he told me there is no need to drive all the way from Goa. He can courier it to me and I can get it fitted by any normal number plate provider in Goa.

I felt it was a good idea but the following thoughts are running in my mind.

1. Will the plates be rivetted by the normal plate vendors or bolted on?
2. Will bolted on plates be legal?
3. Is there a possibility that the vendor may send me fake plates? (What can he gain from it since I have paid online already?)
4. Would it be safer for me to just drive across to Kolhapur and do it? (The selected fitment centre is about 3 hours drive from my place in Goa. Not a big deal)

Any good Bodyshop will have a Riveting tool and it can be done. Rosemerta usually send the Rivets along - or ask them to send it and not to forget the WS Glass sticker as well

Its any ones guess - the Laser Etched number on the plate and Sticker should match

How much time did it take you guys to get your HSRP? I booked mine online a few weeks ago and haven't gotten any update. I'm based in Karnataka.

The HSRP booking for my motorcycle was done relatively smoothly here in Bombay. However, while entering the details for my car on the online portal (vendor is FTA as per my RTO zone) the "Select Vehicle Type" dropdown menu does not work even after pressing it multiple times. I tried opening the portal on MS Edge besides Google Chrome both on PC and mobile but same problem persists. Due to this I am unable to proceed with booking my HSRP.


Did anyone here experience the same problem? If yes, then what is the solution.

Have done multiple bookings via this website, but haven't encountered this error yet. I see that you are accessing this from a mobile device; try doing this from a desktop/laptop browser; I had no issues while using the Chrome browser on my laptop. Looking at these websites, it wouldn't be surprising if they haven't optimised it well enough to work with different devices.

I am stuck with the vendor FTA who has a pathetic response mechanism with no option to raise a complaint online or a dedicated customer helpline. I tried calling their so called "customer care" on (+91)9305387662 but the response from the lady who took the call was hell. It felt like talking to the monkey from Madagascar movie.

Both my vehicles are MH02 registered. Has anybody got this done in Malad West/Charkop (Kandivali) area? I see many links being shared , wonder which ones to choose from? I do not mind getting it done in & around Tardeo area.

Dear navin_v8,

You are indeed using the website for your MH02 Zone. Add to that you have already done for your bike and tried with both Mobile and Computer.

Could be a small glitch in the system for loading data in background with javascript as sometimes it takes time and these are not full proof websites developed. Lets grant some leniency to the gov sites like many other things.

Give it some time before you start taking any action.
OR
Use Hard Refresh of the website using
Ctrl+F5 OR Ctrl+Shift+R
and then give it some time for loading and then start input as required.

Lets hope it gets sorted out.

For a call today from Shivam Autozone and was informed that hsrp order will not be processed by them since they are a Nexa Showroom and hence do not entertain other brand cars. This is just pathetic from Mhhsrp.

An update on this, got the HSRP delivered to Shivam Autozone. Upon reaching the location, I was once again denied fitting by Shivam Autozone which is a Nexa dealer. Raised this to Rosmerta who promised fitting by a different vendor. Waited for a week and kept following up but all went in vain as the Rosmerta guys just kept pushing the fitting on a daily basis. Finally got the fitting done by Shreem Hyundai where the car goes for servicing.

Today I drove 3 hours from Goa to Gadhinglaj to get my HSRP number plate fitted for my MH12 registered car. The vendor gave me a packet with the plates and sticker and rivets and told me that they do not do the fitment. When I asked who can do it, he said you can get it done in Goa. If you do want to get it done before driving back, there is a place 0.5 km away who will do it.

I went to that other vendor (who I later realized is also an official HSRP vendor) and he said that his riveting machine has been taken for repairs but he can fit it with the bolts of the original plates. He said there will be no legal hassles because it is an old car, which has provided for bolts fitting. He said new cars come with HSRP fitted with rivets. Anyway I got it done and drove back home.

Now I want to see if the status has been updated in MHHSRP records. When I check the status of my order, it has been showing success since the time I booked.

Is there some url where I can check if the record is updated?

Does any member have an experience with Simran Motors (Nexa Kharghar). Our Vento is booked for it's HSRP fitment there itself, and I want to ensure that these guys will do fitment.
