I booked a sparkling black crystal shine and was told would be getting my car after two weeks and now they are saying it is going to take too months they say TKM has black paint shortage now they are offering me blackish red which looks like garnet red in pictures and claim it is a new color and garnet red has been removed from the offering. Has any one seen this so called blackish red ? or it is just re named garnet red.
On Toyota website the color is still shown as garnet red.
I dont want to buy ganet red color.
I am seriously thinking of canceling my booking and look for alternatives.

Have heard before that cars are made to order for some low selling colors and hence wait times are longer. But this reasoning takes the cake. Toyota has paint shortage

The blackish red is garnet red only, in the brochure at one place it is called blackish red and on the website it is called garnet red.

I feel shortage is not of plain black but of the sparkling black (bluish black).

I recently got my car in the same colour (sparkling black crystal shine) and after that got calls from two other dealers which I had contacted that it can be made available early.

So, looks more like a case of inventory offloading by the dealer maybe you can try other dealers and you would be able to get it and trust me the wait would be worth it since the Innova looks absolutely droolworthy in this colour. It hides its MPVish character pretty well in this colour.

What accessories did you opt for the car? I wish to get the wooden trim on the dashboard and leather seat covers to brighten up the interiors. I took delivery of GX AT on March 25th. The accessories I added were:

- Roof ornament - 10600/-
- Welcome lamps with logo projection - 11000/-
- Fog lamps - 15500/-
- Auto folding mirror - 4300/-
- Reverse camera - 7500/-
- High beam upgrade led - 8990/-
- Dashboard wood finish with silver inserts on AC vents.- 8900/-
- Steering leather grip - 4500/-
- Side foot step - 17000/-

Over all I got some discount on the accessories.

I have bought only reverse camera and side steps as accessories from Toyota. Cost was around 22,000/- in total. I like the simple look and feel of fabric seats/plastic dashboard

The GX variant now comes with the auto folding mirror from the factory itself. Request you to please check if the dealer has over-charged for the same

Also surprised to see Toyota offering the upgrade LED for the high beam. Haven't seen it in the NCR. Which brand are they using?

GX comes with power folding but not auto folding. When you power off the car, mirrors don't autofold. I don't know if Toyota has changed this with Facelift.

I will share later today. Roof ornament is nothing but roof rails. The wood finish is same from the Z variant.

The Brand is Blaupunkt. The mirrors do not auto fold, when you switch off and lock the car.

Would the auto folding mirror accessory work with 2016 Innova Crysta GX AT? I am not sure since it doesn't have power folding even using a button/ switch.
