Re: Toyota Innova Crysta facelift launched at Rs. 16.26 lakh

A whopping 30.75 lakhs OTR Bangalore for a new face and Infotainment system. These things should've been done ages ago. The return of the 2.8, a reworked petrol engine, larger fuel tank etc would've been worth 30 lakhs not cosmetic upgrades (major facepalm).

Anyway, this car will still make major sales no matter what.

Re: Toyota Innova Crysta facelift launched at Rs. 16.26 lakh

I am little disappointed with GX variant. The day it was launched, it would have costed 17-18 lacs OTR now it is touching 22 lacs OTR. With this, Innova is an investment instrument rather than a depreciating asset . One more reason for second hand car market to jack up prices for used Innovas.

At this price point, 6 speed iMT should have been made available . This would have made the riding experience much smooth in manual.

Even after all this, no one can dethrone Innova. Period!

Re: Toyota Innova Crysta facelift launched at Rs. 16.26 lakh

Even after the launch has happened and each and every detail is out there but Toyota still wants to keep the facelift under the wraps on its website at least it seems

Since, after clicking on the banner for the facelift the website still shows the pre-facelift version only.

Being old-school looks like Toyota's IT department is also old school using technologies or servers which cannot deploy the facelift details and features even after the launch.

Or it seems the facelift is so subtle that even the website updaters were not able to diffrentiate between the facelifted one and the pre-facelift one that they never knew that the one on the website currently is still the pre-facelift one.

Till the time Toyota updates its website here is one of the first detailed walk around of the car.

The site has been updated but I don’t see the Attitude Black colour on the site, but it’s present in the official brochure. Strange!

I hope my post had no role to play in this happening in a jiffy.

Or we might having someone from Toyota following the forum and the thread.

Re: Toyota Innova Crysta facelift launched at Rs. 16.26 lakh

It is definitely not worth 30 Big ones although the market seems to think otherwise.

Wonder if it is so difficult for other manufacturers to bring out a worthy competitor at 20 Lakhs that can bring the Innova's price down to more realistic levels.
Ditto for Fortuner - Good but overpriced.

One question.

Can the facelift infotainment system be fitted on the previous gen innova? And should it be worth it?

Re: Toyota Innova Crysta facelift launched at Rs. 16.26 lakh

The Innova is getting eye-wateringly expensive, really makes me value my 13 year old a lot more. Its absolutely fascinating how Toyota skimps out on features, demands a premium on price and still manages to hold its own in the segment (albeit there isn't much direct competition). The pricing of even the 2.4 G MT in Bangalore is way too high.

Re: Toyota Innova Crysta facelift launched at Rs. 16.26 lakh

If someone opts for the top of the line diesel model, the on-road price of that will in all probability be close to 3-million Indian rupees.
That is a serious amount of money for a depreciating asset like a motor vehicle and in fact, almost equivalent to some 1-2BHK apartments in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities of India.
While there's no doubting the brand equity of Toyota in India and the blind faith of Toyota followers in our country, this kind of pricing is just not digestable.

Nowadays, a mass produced vehicle is practically put together by the component suppliers who supply the various modules and the OEM just bolts and tightens things in place. Cockpit module, HVAC module, Fuel system, Seats: you name it, you get it. The oft touted Durability, Quality and Reliability is built in from the component supplier's end from the very beginning, (almost all of them follow the established quality standards) and there's a fair chance that if one sticks to the scheduled servicing as suggested by the OEM, the humble ALTO and the Innova will possibly last the same number of kilometres.

If I have 3-million Indian rupees, (which I do not ) , I would stick to to a new Marazzo, an Ertiga or even better look at some of the delectable deals on approved used X5's and its equivalent competitors.

Re: Toyota Innova Crysta facelift launched at Rs. 16.26 lakh

Why are auto-makers not providing a bench option for the middle row in the highest spec model? The ZX variant comes with the highest safety equipment(7 airbags), however it is available only in the 7-seater configuration.

Traditionally if one was to seat 7 in a MPV, it will be 2 in the front, 3 in the middle row and 2 in the third row to travel comfortably.
With the captain seats in the middle row, 3 have to squeeze into the third row which is impractical for adults over long distance commutes. Or 5 cannot travel with a full load of luggage with the third row folded down.

This trend of not providing top spec with bench option in the seems to be very common.
Even the Mahindra Marrazo came with captain seats in the middle in the initial launch. Same case with the Kia Carnival. Why does one have to compromise on features for a bench row option?

They call the Garnet Red color ‘Blackish Red’ now, so what is this doing here?
