The next gen E class interior has been revealed.
Wouldn't be surprising to see this one touch the 85 lakh ex-showroom mark. Mercedes' price hikes are sheer insanity, the facelifted E was launched at an ex-showroom price of 64 lakh in 2021, less than 2 years later it's now sitting at 72.5 for the same E200, nearly ten lakhs higher. Mind you, the car still doesn't come with proper leather seats, something unacceptable in a car that costs nearly a crore. Add to this the new sales system they've implemented where it's impossible to avail discounts of more than 50k, BMW and Audi counterparts seem to be a far superior package.

Firstly, apologies for the late response folks. I was traveling and forgot to post an update on the issue.

Thanks for all your suggestions. It was a breeze dealing with Akshaya Motors on this issue. Once I let the SA know, he got the car picked up from home, did a full diagnostic check where no issues came up (ruling out any transmission related faults) and the car was sent back the next day. The only plausible reason according to them was the presence of some moisture in the 'system', which should go away with usage. I didn't poke further since I knew they couldn't pinpoint the issue.

Luckily, the issue did go away after raking up some kms on the car and I'm happy to report that we haven't faced any jerking since (touchwood)

Thanks V1p3r!
The car is definitely a delight to be in with the air suspension. Coming from my VRS, I can say with confidence that this car is nowhere close to being sporty (even in sports plus mode) and you don't necessarily feel like driving the car fast even with its 6 cylinder engine. However, there is a different kind of enjoyment in just wafting around town. Makes you temporarily forget how bad Bangalore roads really are.

Coming to the length/size of the car - the only time you notice is when you're parking in public and realize that you don't really fit into most spots.
