As an ex-1.6 owner, the primary reason why I sold the 1.6 (with a heavy heart) was availability of spares. For eg: the lead time to get the clutch assembly was more than a month when i sold off my car.
Whoever is considering the 1.6, its a great car but be ready to face some downtimes.
