1. Camry hybrid to satisfy the ego and for those special occasions - 44 L
2. Innova AT - 28 L for long distance travel
3. Nexon EV - 15 L for daily drive

I will get a Honda Africa Twin from the money saved!

Nice thread!!

My picks would be
1. Mini cooper John cooper works - For fun/city runabouts.
2. Skoda Karoq - Family trips/business meetings/rough roads.
3. Kia Carnival - When you really need a proper 6/7 seater.

I guess these cars have that feel good factor which are lacking in some of the cars in that price range. I've never been an off roading enthusiast, so people keen on that may swap Karoq with a Compass 4x4.

I wouldn't really spend 1 CR on automobiles, even if I had that amount completely disposable, but in a hypothetical world this is what I would pick:

1. Ford Endeavor - 40
2. Skoda Superb TSI Manual - 35
3. Nexon EV - 15
The remaining 10+ would go on a bike.

1. Tata Nexon EV - The every day beater car which saves the environment. 18 Lakhs on road

2. Kia Carnival Limousine - The chauffeur driven car to be used to carry the family around on long trips. 37 Lakhs on road

3. Skoda Octavia RS 245 - The weekend fun car, which hopefully doesn’t give a headache in the long run. 42 Lakhs on road

Total upto 97 Lakhs.

Use the spare change to buy an RE. :D

My allocation will be as follows:

1. Compass Trailhawk: My do it all personal car and daily driver - approx. 32 Lakhs

2. Innova Crysta Automatic : My do it all, reliable 7 seat family car - approx. 28 lakhs

3. Nexon EV: My green and exciting city car - approx. 17 lakhs

4. Ducati Multistrada 1260 S: My do it all superbike - approx. 23 lakhs

And here gets my budget exhausted :)

1. Primary car - Nexon EV - 17 lakhs
2. Secondary car - Harrier - 21 lakhs( for the trips)
3. BMW X3 - 60 lakhs(I don't need one but to answer this question why not).

Great thread and making such hypothetical lists has been a favourite activity of mine since school! Always got me excited.

I did a bunch of permutations of 2/3 cars and finally came to the conclusion of 2 SUVs + 1 Hatch. SUVs because I am not a fan of sitting low.

My 2 would be -

1. Range Rover Evoque 2.0 Petrol [73L OTR] - Simply love the design & slick look. Always been a head turner for me

2. Creta Turbo SX [O] DCT [20L OTR] - Everyday driving purpose and yes, the 2020 version looks really amazing

3. Swift VXi [7L] - A hatchback I love and my wife would prefer this v/s Creta for her daily driving

Keep driving!

As a diesel head my ideal three car garage under ₹1,00,00,000 (1 Crore) would be

> BMW 320d
> Fortuner 2.8 4 x 4 MT
> Pre-worshipped Thar

Hoping I would get lucky with another 0.5 Crore for maintaining and modding these beasts.

I play this game in my head all the time, but here's my list

1. Jaguar XE - 50 Lakhs - My Daily driver and Date car
2. Ford Endeavour - 34 Lakhs - Out-station Car / Airport Runs / Family outing Car
3. Hyundai i10 AT - 10 Lakhs - For the times mom/wife wants to go the market where you cant fit an endavour and cant risk the jaguar. Also the loan-a-car-to-friends/family car.

3 cars, 1 crore. This is a tough one, but I will have to start by saying that I do not care for brand new cars as it’s absolutely senseless buying one, given the cost of depreciation and the fact that new cars are overpriced beyond belief.

Having said that, my three car garage under 1 crore would be:

1) A used Porsche 981 Cayman / 997 911 Carrera - can get good examples for about 50 lakh.

2) A used Mini Cooper S JCW - 20 lakh

3) A used F10 BMW 530d M-Sport - 30 lakh

Slightly different from the thread purpose, this is my dream garage I am planning to work on.

Cars
Mini Cooper Convertible: 40
- for fun drives and corner carving and beater car duties as it's small enough. Automatic so missus will love to drive it too.
Jeep Compass limited 4*4: 28
- For primary highway duties and mountains. Right now have the 4 by2 variant so it might suffice. So partially ticked.

Bikes

Superbike
Suzuki Gsxs 750: 9
Not looking at 299kph monsters. A perfectly rideable everyday superbike. Ticked.

Adv
Suzuki Vstrom 650: 10
Highway focused long distance touring which can do a bit of off road and is manageable.

Trail/off-road
KLX 450: 10
Will start taking baby steps towards this genre with the Xpulse first.

For local runabouts
TVS Wego: 0.8. Ticked.

Any decent cycle for fitness: 0.2

2 lakh for the hefty insurance and maintenance bills lol:

Thats way to much money to spend on cars, IMO.

I would get a used Toyota Land cruiser in any color as long as its White.

My 1 crore garage would definitely have a Ford Mustang rest I don't really care maybe a SUV like Scorpio or Safari is enough if available with automatic transmission.

Strictly no bikes for me. Instead will look out for a cycle for 2 wheel rides.

My garage would be -

1. Ford Mustang
2. Fortuner
3. No money left but it would be Creta 2020 IVT

This will satisfy all the aspets of me as a car owner.

Mustang for those high speed highway runs.
T-Fort for those outstation trips with family
Creta for City runs as it is incredibly light and easy to drive.

I would like to say that a 1 Cr budget for 3 cars is too less for a practical dream garage. Prices have gone up like crazy. Maybe 3-5 years ago, this budget would have been good. Now I think to include even 1 dream car, your budget needs to be at least 3 Cr. Unless you're looking at pre-owned.
A Mercedes E350 is 95 Lakhs, A base GLE is 95 Lakhs, A BMW 530d is 88 Lakhs, A 330i M sport is 62 Lakhs. A diesel Innova top end is 30.5 Lakhs. And these are pretty common cars.
So Unless your garage is going to be an extremely practical (read uninspiring) one, you need to up the budget.
Me current 2 car garage is:
2004 Maruti Alto - Beater
2008 Honda City ZX - for luxury
2015 Honda Mobilio RS - for family duty.

If I have to replace these 3 cars at today's rates, Alto is 4.9 Lakhs, City is 18 Lakhs and an Innova for 30.5 Lakhs. (Diesel 8 seater) And these 3 basic cars will cross 53 Lakhs.
