As for the launch date of the new Land Cruiser 300, there are two information that will be accepted in advance from spring 2021 and that it will be in autumn 2021.

Land Cruiser 300 is also planning to set up a GR model. It becomes "GR sports" mainly because it is chassis tuning.

The power unit will be equipped with a 3.5-liter, V6 gasoline turbo, a 3.3-liter, and a straight-4 diesel turbo in replacement with the current 4.6-liter, V8 gasoline-NA engine. All transmissions will be 6-speed AT and the drive system will be full-time 4WD.

In addition, the 3.5L and V6 turbo hybrid, which is said to appear about two years later, has the latest information that it is a one-motor type different from THS using a power division mechanism.

It is a new mechanism that combines a 10-speed AT with a motor, but in order to run Cruiser's heavy body efficiently, there is a possibility that it is a mild hybrid of 48V ISG (integrated starter generator method) instead of THS.

I don’t think anyone has a clue. The scoop we see on the bonnet, 100% sure, no manufacturer is going to take it forward from the past generation.

I won’t read too much into all this, one thing is for sure though, 8 cylinder Diesel will be a history. V8 petrol may continue in lexus or even for LC in North American market. Else it will be a 6 cylinder petrol and diesel for every body.

Not sure if a new thread is needed since it has already been discussed in this thread (actually discussed more than the heading of this thread intends)

Looks like it will come with a twin turbo V6 petrol initially, while the 3.3l V6 diesel will come later, so will be the rumoured hybrids and maybe even the 4.0l twin turbo V8.
