Re: Need advice - Buying a 4/5 year pre-owned Corolla Altis? Yay or Nay? The Corolla is indeed barebones, bland and inoffensive in it's looks and lacks several contemporary good to have features in 2022. That head unit feels like it belongs to the 90's and I've realised Android Auto/Apple CarPlay are something hard to live without once you use them. They make life really easy on the roads. The GL variant lacks cruise control too. I would have considered it had it been the VL CVT variant and not some out of state registration car. Low mileage Corollas are now not easy to find.
In this case, a car being brought from WB and being sold in Chandigarh would be a red flag for me and I wouldn't have gone ahead with the deal.
If comfort is what you're looking for then AT is a simple choice and no point in compromising the transmission option for a car of maybe even a segment higher but, an MT.
Try looking for a low run Toyota Yaris VX CVT. It's a great compact car that's well built(not flimsy like the City is), more recent and a simple head unit upgrade would suffice.

Reason: Yaris is well built!
