I wonder whether there is any technical limitation to having an AMT gearbox with a CNG powered engine with associated ECU map changes. For a daily driver in crowded metros, an AMT is a boon as evident since last 2-3 years sales data. CNG is also a boon for such small car office runner cases. An AMT's convenience + CNG's economy would make Maruti the #1 car maker for eternity really. No further challenges. I wonder why they aren't offering it. Would it be just financial reasons of a car having almost 1 lakh extra price over MT+Petrol only option in same trim? Quote:

Do you mean range on CNG? Because like any CNG powered car, the range is more or less irrelevant for long distance planning. Once you run out of CNG, you can continue driving on petrol to your destination.
If your question is specifically about exclusively CNG range, CARDEEP's calculation is pretty much right. Consider a mileage of 20kmpl average for city+highway usage when estimating your range for a journey. You'll get about 220-240 Km range under normal daily usage per refill. Quote:
