Better than the ES 300h for sure, as it's the same car at a lower price. The European luxury barges? Well, it does offer you 90% of that experience at 70% of the price. For VFM, Camry. For other factors, the Europeans might score (especially badge).

In the segment of 50-60L what would be better/reliable in the long run 5 years+?
Having first-hand experience with various Mercedes' & BMWs, I can tell you that their reliability has improved to either the "acceptable" or "very good" levels (depending on model). But for absolute piece of the mind and that pampering after-sales, nothing touches the Camry.

Volvo's dealers suck and the company has no control over them.

Glad to read/know they have improved it. My upgrade from a Camry would still have been a Camry even if they had similar reasonably comfortable interiors and cabin isolation (from road, wind, and ambient noise etc.).

But if they have added some "luxury" into this already great car, that is awesome! Ride quality was always fabulous, the cabin isolation of the previous gen (2014 in particular) could have been lot better - looking forward to check the 2020 one out now.

On the Pricing: The Camry would have been hot potatoes (or cake!) if it were priced around 20lacks (like in the US). But yea, their already high base price + additional taxes on CBUs takes it to that $50,000 (at Rs75/$) which even in the USA would sell possibly not more than 300 units per month! A wasted opportunity for Toyota on a truly great and complete car.
