Which tuner/s advertise these figures? If some tuner can really give 30bhp and 100Nm gain even with a free flow exhaust + remap that's impressive, but personally I don't feel its possible in a stage 1 setup. Similarly, 0-100 under 8 seconds also seems highly unlikely with a stage 1 setup. Can you please share some details on the tuner/s who have done this?

Re: Jeep Compass facelift launch in early 2021

Got a call from the Jeep dealership where I had pre booked the BS6 Compass "Booking amount still stuck with them" informing me of UNLIMITED FREEDOM OFFER which was on till July 31 and after some prodding from my end he told me that the new facelifted model has DRL integrated in main housing and that they will be given training by Nov-Dec.

For sheet metal changed he said its very less and I should buy the current BS6 Compass with UNLIMITED FREEDOM OFFER but sadly when I told him I already bought the Seltos he hung up with a "Oh Ok, Sir".

Well to be precise, this one device claims an increase to 225hp and 327 Nm. I was in touch with them on email, and they are willing to service it although they are based out of Europe. I am pretty optimistic that 1550 kg vehicle with 225 bhp can break the 8 seconds barrier.
I use this website to check these figures, and they are pretty reasonable. http://www.torquestats.com/modified/...bmit=Calculate The website suggests 7.1 sec, which is far fetched. I will add about 0.5 seconds as beta. So, it should be around 7.6 sec.

Sorry Man, but I was not pointing to remap. Instead it is a tuner box .

https://www.ptronic.com/performance-...ltiair-170.htm

Remap :
Lmntrix - claims approx 200 bhp and 300 Nm. Not bad for just a remap and if we add a free flow exhaust and Performance air intakes, it will be easy to achieve 225 hp and 325 Nm ( my estimate )

A complete dark Compass would really look drool-worthy & stealthy on the street. Just like the Harrier does.

However - the name "Night-Eagle" at best, suits some cheap Chinese LED headlamp kit. Nothing more.

Re: Jeep Compass facelift launch in early 2021

I wish every model from every manufacturer had a completely chrome free option available. They could call it the night eagle or the afternoon crow for all I care; I would choose the chrome free option 7 days a week, 356 days a year. The dark colour options are merely a bonus the way I see it. I’d pay a premium to strip most cars of all that bling irrespective.

Re: Jeep Compass facelift launch in early 2021

If FCA really want these to be successfull here in India they should not dilute its exclusivity by sharing the technology with other manufacturers like they have done earlier with their engine.

I have read that these hybrid models will develop more than 225 h.p . So will be truly enjoyable on open roads and efficient in the city drives.

you’ll be best either looking for its 4xe badge or having a quick peek at both sides to see if there’s two filler caps.

Those allow the refuelling of its two power sources, a 1.3-litre petrol turbo turning the front wheels – available with 128 or 178bhp depending on spec – and an electric motor at the rear axle, with 59bhp and 184lb ft, yielding total outputs of 187 or 237bhp depending on which version you’ve picked. Jeep claims 26 miles of electric-only range (with an 81mph top speed) and a 7.5sec 0-62mph time (and 124mph top speed) when both power sources combine.

As is typical in PHEVs, you can flick between various hybrid, EV and battery-save modes at will, with regenerative braking working away behind the scenes to help keep the 11.4kWh, 400v lithium-ion battery healthy.

able to travel up to 26 miles on electric power only, with a limited max speed of 81mph. The battery power can also be saved for later in your journey by selecting the appropriate driving mode. Hooking up to a 7.4kW wallbox sees the battery recharged in under two hours.

Jeep says the added electric power brings improved crawl capability and torque control, which should make the Renegade and Compass even better off-road. Added to that, the hybrid power is said to make the SUVs more fun to drive, as the electric motors provide better responsiveness and acceleration.

The petrol engine drives the front wheels, while the rear wheels are driven by the electric motor. Jeep says this makes for better off-road performance than a standard petrol or diesel 4x4, as the electric motor gives lots of low-down power and can push the car up hills and over obstacles.

Re: Jeep Compass facelift launch in early 2021

2021 Jeep Compass Losing Manual Transmission.

Quote:
the 2021 Compass will no longer be available with a 6-speed manual in any trim. This will further limit manual-transmission choices in the SUV segment and result in an increase in base pricing.
Quote:
For 2021, the Compass will only be sold with either a 6 or 9-speed automatic depending on trim paired with a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. The reason for discontinuing the manual is pretty simple: no one was buying it.
Quote:
With the demise of the manual, the Compass joins the Renegade and Cherokee in only offering an automatic gearbox

Re: Jeep Compass facelift launch in early 2021

Jeep Compass 2022 will have global launch in the first quarter of 2021.

Apart for the mechanical changes, the Compass 2022 will have very discreet changes at the front.

The famous seven-slit grid will retain virtually the same current shape. The headlights will gain a new format and will be "invaded" by the bumper in its part that is the main grille.

In the rear, will have only new internal designs of the taillights that will keep the same shape

The Jeep Compass 2022 will arrive in Brazil in the first quarter of 2021 in a global presentation of the average SUV. Model will have punctual changes in the front and the main novelty will be the arrival of the new engine 1.3 Firefly Turbo.

FCA will adopt a CVT gearbox for the Firefly 1.0 and 1.3 turbo engines that will also be used in the aspirated 1.3 versions of Argo and Cronos.

the CVT gearbox will be the Direct Shift that counts on the first gear gear like a conventional automatic transmission, the other simulated gears may vary according to the engine on which the transmission is connected. Supplied by Aisin, the transmission simulates ten speeds on the Toyota Corolla, but this will depend on the calibration that will be used by the FCA for its models.

In the Jeep Compass 2022, the CVT transmission will be integrated into the 1.3 Firefly engine that will have power in the 180 hp and approximate torque of 29 kgfm.

The 2.0 Turbo diesel engine will also be recalibrated for more power and touch, but will remain connected to the nine-speed ZF gearbox.

Inside, the Compass 2022 will have a light touch-up on the center console and will receive the FCA's new multimedia center that allows cableless pairing. The system is already used by Fiat Strada and Toro.

Jeep Compass facelift interior spied

A spy image revealing the interior of the updated Jeep Compass has surfaced online.

The spy image suggests that the Compass facelift is will get an redesigned interior with piano black trim. The SUV has a new centre console that houses a larger touchscreen infotainment head-unit. The climate control buttons may have been re-positioned as well. The car gets a new design steering wheel, while the instrument cluster has an analogue tachometer.

In the international market, the updated Compass is available with a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine along with a plug-in hybrid version. In India, Jeep will continue to offer the 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel that produces 170 BHP and 350 Nm and the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine that makes 161 BHP and 250 Nm.

I’m glad that there are no dummy buttons on the steering Wheel plus they have retained the analogue tachometer, is it just me or other also feel that manufacturers are just going overboard with virtual cockpit and stuff. I’m a sucker for classic old school analogue dials.

Re: Jeep Compass facelift launch in early 2021

Along with the planned upgrades to the interiors, Jeep should also upgrade their sound system to a premium one like Bose or HK with 8+ speakers. I am an audiophile and i notice that all the good and popular vehicles except Toyotas come with premium sound systems these days according to their price brackets, like all new age Tatas and Seltos, etc. This is the only seriously lacking checkbox when it comes to current Compass which otherwise is a very complete package.

I see that the hooded dials have been discarded. That's too bad, their simple design really matched the Compass' interior.

I agree with you sachin_cs. There's nothing wrong with analogue dials. If a manufacturer does want to go for virtual dials, then they should atleast make them look good, or else forget the whole idea. I'm looking at you BMW!
