Some observations I could make:

• Digital controls for the Air Conditioner
• Narrow AC vents in the center
• Lots of gloss black trim surrounding the infotainment unit
• Analog Volume knob for the infotainment unit
• Digital Instrument Cluster

IMHO, that instrument cluster may be looking aesthetic or ultra-modern, but it lacks that feel and character of an analog cluster in my opinion.

If digital is the only way forward, I would like to see cluster designs as the one in the Alcazar. Or can't they design a remix of digital and analog like in the Audi A4?
How ironic is it that the games like Forza or NFS are trying to give as much realistic feel as possible while these car manufacturers are moving opposite and trying to give a game like digital feel?

It is based on Seltos. Not expecting structural changes and hence would most likely fare as badly as Seltos did in crash test. Kia has disappointed big time w.r.t safety and if Safety is on your mind my suggestion would be stay away from Kia/Hyundai.

If priced right, this will fly off the shelves with India's new found love for MPV's

Some of the segment firsts one can expect are Front Ventilated seats, Snack tray for rear passengers, Rear infotainment system, Air Purifier etc.

The interiors are top notch too, although the third row space is nothing to write about and is comparable to other cars in the segment. The fit and finish is leagues ahead of any other Compact MPV (Well that's a segment now)

It's a good looking MPV that may appear to some of the younger folks leaning towards a SUV too

If only KIA gets the safety ratings right and price it well, they have another winner

I hope Kia prices it right. I suppose this will compete with the ertiga twins. A diesel MPV in the ertiga segment will be a good seller. This probably will achieve what the Marazzo intended to achieve.

I feel like this is the Sub 20 Lakh spiritual successor to the old Innova we've all been waiting for (remember when the Innova was less than 20 lakh ).

Hopefully it can actually seat adults in the third row unlike other "seven seaters" in this category (Looking at you Hyundai Alcazar and XUV700) or maybe I'm just spoiled from our 2011 Innova which can easily seat 2 or even 3 adults in the 3rd row.

Seeing the bells and whistles they have added to XUV7OO, what prevents them from adding similar features - AT, petrol variant, etc. to a good offering at a lower price point?

I really wonder what Kia did, that despite its structural compromises (leading to very poor safety ratings), that the atmosphere around its new offerings brings SO MUCH cheer ? Especially when they don't have production capacity to even make its present cars within a reasonable time frame.
