Thanks for the details. If I go by the brochure shared a couple of posts earlier, Turbo petrol model will not be having the Phantom black color or the New mulberry Red color(Which was my pick of the options given).
But i guess the brochure is still not the final one and I would trust a fellow bhpian rather than a rumoured brochure.
I hope they launch it will all color options and not specific ones.

I think that photo is saying the colors on the left Creta are available for all variants and the 3 other colours on the right Creta are only available for turbo variant.

So the colors on the left are also available for the turbo variant.

I wish I had taken some pics to show you guys, but the model that I saw & sat in earlier today was the Turbo Petrol 1.4L (opened the engine bay to check as well!) and it was black in color, so....yea. Will have to wait and see.

Also, maybe a different interpretation of the brochure image you shared could be that the color's on the right (with the blackened roof) are only specific to the Turbo variants. And the colors on the left are for all the models, regardless of spec. Just my 2 cents on it.

As per online pre-booking details available in Hyundai website, 1.4 DCT will come in below 5 color options:
  • Phantom Black
  • Polar White
  • Polar White W/ Phantom Black Roof
  • Lava Orange W/ Phantom Black Roof
  • Deep Forest

Pre-booking link

I am also seriously considering a new Creta Automatic as my first car purchase for self. Awaiting pricing details.

re: 2nd-Gen Hyundai Creta @ Auto Expo 2020. Edit: Launched at 9.99 lakhs

Got a chance to check out the all new Hyundai Creta in person today. Trust me guys, this car looks so much better in person than in pictures. The panoramic sunroof/moonroof along with the rear seat comfort are the major plus points. I really feel this one will have a better road presence as compared to the Kia Seltos.

In my opinion this car will attract a lot of the family audience, whereas the Kia will target the youth. So happy to finally have some worthy competition in this segment. Pricing will be the key now.

PS: the black colored display car had a unusual peeling effect, which was not at all to my liking though. And I'm really sorry for the lame quality pictures guys, the showroom was crowded.

The lava orange and white dual tone with black roof look interesting, but there are very few videos and pictures of these colours.

I am comparing the different variants of the Creta for better understanding:

CRETA SX IVT (1.5 L petrol) VS SX MT (1.5 L petrol)

1) Electronic parking brake
2) Air purifier
3) Drive mode select
4) Traction control modes
5) Paddle shifters

CRETA SX(O) IVT (1.5 L petrol) vs SX IVT (1.5 L petrol)

1) Side and curtain airbags
2) Electrochromic mirror
3) Lane change indicator flash change management
4) Leatherette seats and armrest
5) 7 inch MID
6) Ventilated seats
7) Powered driver seats
8) TPMS highline type
9) Bose sound system

CRETA SX DCT (1.4 L petrol) VS SX IVT (1.5 L petrol)

1) Few exterior changes
2) All black interiors
3) Sport metal pedal

What Hyundai has done very smartly (better than Kia) is to spread the features among the variants very well.
It has treated the 1.5 L petrol and 1.4 L turbocharged petrol equally, only giving cosmetic changes to the turbocharged version while keeping the main features same.

Kia almost treats the 1.5 L petrol as a step-son, not giving it safety features, technology, etc.

I have also spent sometime comparing the Creta and Seltos, prices are awaited for the Creta, although these seem like comparable variants, nonetheless.

SX MANUAL VS HTX MANUAL

What Creta gets over Seltos:

1) ESC
2) VSM
3) HAC
4) Electric tailgate release
5) Panoramic sunroof

What Seltos gets over Creta:

6) Leatherette pack
7) Mood lighting
8) Auto dimming IRVM
9) TPMS high type
10) Air purifier

SX IVT VS HTX IVT

What Creta gets over Seltos:

1) ESC
2) VSM
3) HAC
4) Electric tailgate release
5) Panoramic sunroof
6) Electronic parking brake
7) Drive mode select
8) Traction control modes
9) Paddle shifters
10) Panoramic sunroof

What Seltos gets over Creta:

11) Leatherette pack
12) Mood lighting
13) Auto dimming IRVM
14) TPMS high type

SX DCT VS GTX DCT

What Creta gets over Seltos:

1) Electronic parking brake
2) Panoramic sunroof
3) Paddle shifters

What Seltos gets over Creta:

6) 6 airbags
7) Brake Assist
8) 7 inch MID
9) Solar glass
10) Rain sensing wipers
11) HUD
12) Wireless charger
13) Leatherette pack

I have made the comparisons for variants I think will fall into my budget, apologies to those who are looking to buy top end versions of these two cars

Although prices are awaited, from the comparison I have made here, it seems like:

1) If you are in the market for a 1.5 L petrol engine (Manual or IVT), the Creta SX makes much more sense than the HTX variant.

2) If you are in the market for the 1.4 L turbocharged engine, the Seltos GTX DCT seems like a better option than the Creta SX DCT.

Some other points:
1) The Seltos definitely looks better than the Creta
2) Ride quality is a big factor, I can only find out after I take a test drive
3) Hyundai has a better service network compared to Kia

Hope this helps the people trying to choose between the Seltos and the Creta.
I am doing so too, will try and make up my mind soon.

My bad.
Thanks for pointing it out.

I did see the brochure again, the new Creta does get the wireless charger in the SX and SX(O) variants.

Please look at my previous post with this edit in mind.

Great comparison. However I feel the SX in Creta is comparable to HTX+ in Seltos and SXO is comparable to GTX+ and we can expect the prices close.

KIA has not given the HTX+ and GTX+ in the 1.5 Petrol IVT and if Hyundai price their 1.5 P IVT SXO well, it would be a joker in the pack as it will give a great option for majority city usage without the fear of reliability of a DCT in the 1.4 petrol or DPF issues in the Diesel although slightly lagging on sheer performance.

re: 2nd-Gen Hyundai Creta @ Auto Expo 2020. Edit: Launched at 9.99 lakhs

Dealer has a black SX variant on display. The battery was disconnected before I arrived because they had too many visitors operating sunroof and interior consoles yesterday. Car looks bigger than the outgoing model and looks butch or beefier than the Seltos because of the front fascia. The rear wasn't as revolting as the pics showed
