More premium cars where price may not be as defining, with full MQB-
T Roc: 27 lakhs
Tiguan: 32 lakhs
Passat: 37 lakhs
Tiguan all space: 38 lakhs
For anything in the order of 21 L, the Taigun can already be written off! VW is screaming cheap with A0 IN, and that should definitely drive label pricing to about 15-17 L.

If Suzuki brings home the global Vitara or plonks the 1.4 BoosterJet to the S-Cross at similar price levels, VW will need to do an India 3.0 to justify running the production lines.

Oops! Sorry, missed noticing this. OTR, Highline Plus, makes perfect sense.

12 L for a polo? Is that an accurate estimate? My topend 2013 model (not GT) was for less than 7L ... this seems like an insane jump!

I paid 11.5 for my GT a few months back. The facelifted version is even higher!

Re: Volkswagen @ Auto Expo 2020

Did anyone have a look at the T-ROC website, the picture shows a left hand drive T-ROC.
How lame, nothing disclosed on all models - No detailed specifications, no pricing, but they want customers to "pre-order" and that too no pre-order charges. Seems like they just want to collect data?

Wondering the strategy, I have a feeling that other than strategy and slides with good website there isnt anything else.

VW and Skoda to an extent have wasted so much money at the Expo for practically nothing. They should have instead of the same efforts/ monies on building better dealership network. Everything looks so out of sync with ground realities.

Re: Volkswagen @ Auto Expo 2020

Polo Cup is back!

Ten years after it truly revolutionized racing in India they’ve returned back to the Polo — 1.8 TSI engine is up to 210bhp + there’s a 20bhp push to pass.

Launching it at Auto Expo highlights VW’s commitment to Motorsport in India.
