Re: Next-gen Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series may debut later in 2020

Hugely disappointed, especially with the front, headlights look so puny & the grill seems to be more like an American truck rather than an SUV.

There seem to be hardly any changes to the side profile, because of the change in position of side mirrors, stance looks a little taller. And in the rear, we can visualize one tail gate from the previous info.

But I wonder, how can they keep the test drive car under wraps whereas someone checks the ready for delivery cars at about the same location as clicked before?

Re: Next-gen Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series may debut later in 2020

The last facelift of a generation is usually a precursor to the design langauge of the next generation. This looks more like an American full size SUV. Ironic considering the Landcruiser has been withdrawn from the US market.

The lights are too slim and IMHO, too much of fussy detailing up front. Wonder how the base GX models will end like.

Yes, they are the interior pics alongwith the biometric (?) starter button. I believe they have been shared a few pages back.

The grille looks so ugly. What is with major manufacturers and ugly grills. BMW did it, now Toyota is doing it. Almost seems like there is an imposter in Toyota's design team, probably someone from mahindra's design department sneaked their way into Toyota HQ and nobody noticed.

Apart from the front, overall silhouette is promising. It will definitely look good in flesh. Interior looks good too. Overall love the way J300 looks.

A lot of changes we can now see given the closeup. Appears to be the launch vehicle somewhere! Here’s the picture of existing one from similar angle, if someone is keen to see a comparison

Front end is no way sleek. Its boxier and butch than before. Overall design looks mature and butch.

The front end is a big step down from the existing one. The grill looks like it is built for some trailer truck, rather than an SUV. And the headlamps remind of the Endeavour's.

Ugly as she goes! The LC200 was never a looker (though the Lexus LX570 does look good) but this new LC300 looks horrible, especially the boxy back. I get why they did this though, the new LC shares its platform with the next-gen tundra and sequoia apparently!

The front looks like a Ford pickup/SUV that has been unnecessarily overstyled. Somehow reminds me of the Endeavor as well as the new Escalade.

Re: Next-gen Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series may debut later in 2020

It looks alright actually. What bothers me is the amount of plastic on the front of the car considering it is an SUV. The front overhang looks a bit too low to my eyes. But what's important is the fact that they are keeping the LC alive in this day and age of hybrid, electronic stuff on wheels.

In India, Toyota will form a strategic partnership with Maruti if they are bringing in the 5-door Jimny and I wouldn't be surprised if they rebadge it as a Toyota Land Cruiser. I can't believe a company like Toyota doing everything to sell their soul to a budget car manufacturer like Maruti Suzuki

Re: Next-gen Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series may debut later in 2020

It looks like if a Nissan Patrol and a Cadillac Escalade had a child and it grew up. I somehow both love and hate the way it looks, it's really making me feel things. More than the front, I really don't like the flush and smoothened rear. It just lacks any character whatsoever.
