Maruti Futuro-E / WagonR EV interiors spied

These are believed to be the first interior shots of the upcoming Maruti Futuro-E electric car. It is expected to based on the WagonR.

The spy images suggest that the Futuro-E could share its interior with the regular WagonR. However, it is likely to get new features. The test car is equipped with automatic climate control and an automatic transmission that appears to have in-built brake energy regeneration.

Besides this, the multi-function steering wheel and the design of the air-conditioning vents look similar to the WagonR. The car has a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit. It does not have adjustable headrests but has the same upholstery as the WagonR.

Wow, it has a touchscreen infotainment and automatic climate control, but it doesn't have a basic safety feature like adjustable headrests? Really? Is this the future of safety in India?

Obviously, until the market boycott such products, which will never happen
PS: Hardly I could see people make use of adjustable head rests. Or in other words majority of the crowd is unaware about the significance of head rest.

This is a test mule based on Wagon-R. Too early to speculate on any features which the final product would get.
