My Vote is for Hyundai Kona EV-Started an Electric Revolution of no fuel-mantainenece & Pollution free cars with 400KM/Charge range
Dont want to add to the Air Pollution and kill our next generation with more petrol & diesel burning cars

re: Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2019. EDIT: It's the Kia Seltos!

Voted for Harrier

Wanted to upgrade from my Zest, but the driver side mirror creates a huge blind spot, which was a letdown, happy to know that they are rectifying it, still its a good package with great road presence.

A notable second would be Triber which is a great attempt by Renault which has started a new segment

Seltos was a choice but then the factor that it's an updated Creta ruined it for me.

Voted for Kia Seltos because it provides that entry level premium car experience without spending exorbitant money.

But, this vote could have easily been to the Harrier provided that Tata had launched it with AT and overall finesse in the product (which i surprisingly find in the Hexa XTA and Nexon XZA+ Diesel at their respective price points). I just hope that Tata launches the Harrier version 2 without these deficiencies very soon before the product looses to the competition.

Voted for the Triber.

A sensible car that is affordable to many in a while in regards to space utilization along features and looks.

My vote is for the Tata Harrier. Nothing quite comes close to it in terms of looks at the price point it comes at, nothing comes quite close to it. Full marks to the design team at. Together with the fiat sourced engine it provided a decent overall package. Had it been from a Maruti or Hyundai stable, would hav ebeen doing decent numbers.

re: Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2019. EDIT: It's the Kia Seltos!

For me Car of the Year has to be the Renault Triber simply for providing a practical seven seater in the sub 4M length category.
Well, with its small engine and skinny tyres it is safe only for city use. Nonetheless full marks to Renault for the honest effort in making this car.
I hope atleast a bigger engine is on its way (tyres can always be upgraded from aftermarket).

I appreciate when a company puts all it's effort and delivers a fine product.

A product that redefines what they were known in the past for.

Primary reasons why I voted for the Tata Harrier. It's a fresh change and they delivered a model that would not be expected from TATA. Giving us the hope for looking at better in house built models.

re: Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2019. EDIT: It's the Kia Seltos!

I voted for harrier over seltos.
Mainly because it’s revolutionary than the seltos which is an evolution of creta.
Having driven both, seltos has higher quality interiors, refinement and performance. Plus those led lights look super.
But harrier’s looks are just stunning, especially the dark edition. The road presence is massive. Also better rear seat comfort, ride and handling played a role for my vote. Plus its indian. I also felt it was more fun to drive than seltos, though seltos was quite stable, distinctly better than creta ive driven earlier.
They spoilt what could have been a great car with an unfinished product with multiple niggles and average equiment.
For 2020 updates, if tata’s listening please get the pano sunroof, give reclining rear seats, electric seats, auto dim irvm with the 170hp auto. I know most are coming in the update, but i hope they give the rear seat recline option recline also, to already complement the great rear seat. Plus in a crash i have a gut feeling the harrier will fare better

re: Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2019. EDIT: It's the Kia Seltos!

Hi all.
This is my first post on Team BHP! Have only been a lurker so far.

I voted for the Kona.
The reason is quite simple. All car manufacturers have scant respect for the environment in which we live, and which we will leave behind for our kids. one doesn't have to look further than Dieselgate, to understand that even the most reputed OEMs do this whenever they can get away with this.

To make an electric is a risk, and the Kona appears to deliver. practical enough and a vehicle good enough with no apparent India specific compromises.

I voted for Tata Harrier; a butch looking SUV with a commanding road presence. I am completely floored with it's look on the roads and I personally feel it looks as awesome it is in any given color options. It deserves the compliment "If looks could kill...".

Voted for Triber as it captures the essence of what a truly Indian need is from a family car, namely VFM, ability to take a slightly extended family for short runs to attend weddings and bunch of family events in the city, our roads are not ideal for racing so a frugal engine with just enough pulling power, possibly lower maintenance costs and if I had to nitpick to find a fault then it would be that the car could do with a few more safety features without adding too much to the price.

It's a no-brainer - Kia Seltos.

Kia showed how to hit the bullseye while already existing manufacturers (especially Indian) finding it hard to understand customers pulse.

It's the Triber for me. Perfect compact car for the typical Indian extended family and it looks good.
