It gave me the error after I had completed the payment. I did get booking confirmation message. The message said that details have been sent in email, but 50+ minutes since the SMS and no email :(. They did send an email 15 minutes after the sms saying 'bookings are now open'

I was just going to post that green and black colour choices don't appear to be available for online booking. Colour choices are now restricted to blue, white and red.

Skoda HQ is probably taking note of their expensive model getting sold out in the blink of an eye and wondering why they didn't do this earlier.

A few of the bookings have probably been made by speculators - even if the allotment goes directly to the original allottee.

So if they book all 200 but 40 buyers back out, what happens to those cars?

They will be refunded the booking amount and the leftover cars will probably be sold through the dealers

There is no cancellation fee so the entire amount would be refunded. As to selling the cars, no decision has been taken - they might even try the online stuff again although it may not work as effectively a second time.

The story so far:

- Less than an hour after online bookings opened for the Skoda Octavia RS 245, over 120 cars have been booked

-With all colours equally spread, Rally green and black colours sold out first

- Deliveries to begin in April

- Last update - only colors available were Blue and White

Surprising to see Rally Green color sold out already.
Maybe, Skoda allotted only few cars with Rally Green and allotted more cars in Candy White and Race Blue which are common car colors.
