Re: Your all-time favorite car interior?

I belong to the Bauhaus or "Form follows Function" school of thought when it comes to Auto interiors. All gauges within sight & all controls within reach. Everything else is superfluous. BMW's in the 80's & 90's had this design ethic before the iDrive killed it.

My choice is the minimalist yet functional Subaru BRZ interior. Though this is a rebadged Toyota (GT86), Subarus are rugged, no-nonsense vehicles, reflected in their interiors. Even the Subaru WRX a performance car has very sparse interior.

Re: Your all-time favorite car interior?

For the cars on sale in India currently, I like the interiors of German Manufacturers and Hyundai. Their design, fit & finish are top-notch compared to others in every segment. Somehow, I'm not a fan of the interiors of Toyota, Honda, Maruti as they can't match the fit and finish of Germans and Hyundai.

Outside India, I like to interiors of Tesla Model 3, minimal design and gizmos with that big touch screen attracts to me.

Re: Your all-time favorite car interior?

This interior is integral part of "Sheer Driving Pleasure" and I just love the subtle changes they have made in the 2019 models. For me, it's futuristic enough while being functional!

Re: Your all-time favorite car interior?

I fall in that category of automobile lovers for whom interiors don't matter - i like interiors of Alto as much as i like the interiors of a Duster or a Hexa. Honestly, it doesn't make any difference to me. The exteriors and how the car looks, how masculine, how imposing the stance that makes me drool over a car.

Even plain jane interiors are fine. I just want the interiors to be spic and span, without dust and junk, neat upholstery preferably fabric without stains, good AC, useful cubby holes, bottle holders, convenient charging points and absolutely no rattles.

Re: Your all-time favorite car interior?

My all time favourite is the 8th Gen civic (as stated by @GTO). That design is so much better than most designs nowadays in cars. Honda didn't do justice to Civic in the current generation.

Some might find me tasteless for this but I find the interiors of the W211 Mercedes E class to be timeless. Even the exteriors of this car is one of my favourites!

Re: Your all-time favorite car interior?

Going through this thread, I realise that my taste is not as exotic as many here.
I like simpler designs.

My favourite so far is Ford EcoSport facelift, especially 'S' variant. Simple, yet elegant and functional.

Re: Your all-time favorite car interior?

I'm going against the general tide here. I don't know if it's because I'm just starting out to drive that I like "tighter" cockpits more or what, but I like the Maruti 800's simplistic cabin. The only small car with enough knee-room for a 6 footer like me. Not a huge fan of the overly "modern" looking cabins we're seeing nowadays.

The rest are my other favourites in this order-

Ford iKon : Childhood favourite. That "tight", ford wali feeling.
Honda Civic: Futuristic. Funky.
Toyota Camry: Love at first glance. Splendid package; looks-wise.
Skoda Superb: It's one of my favourite "German" cars besides the Passat, but I like the interior on this one better, just for that lovely beige.
Ford Endeavour: Luxurious brute, this. That rough dude clad in a business suit.
Mercedes E-class Coupé: Luxurious. Sporty. True definition of a cockpit.
Hyundai Verna: Upmarket cabin that could shame all the rest in its class.
Skoda Rapid: Sublime quality, functionality.

P.S- I don't know how to type between individual pictures uploaded here. I'm using the mobile web version.

Re: Your all-time favorite car interior?

I have always found aircraft interiors very attractive. The Huracan Evo takes a few of those elements and seamlessly amalgamates them with a car's interior. The result to me is drop dead gorgeous.

Re: Your all-time favorite car interior?

I find VW interiors very calming. They are understated and redefine 'classy'. Even the Indian Polo looks so distinguished, from its peers. So that's your new Golf R 2019, available in Dubai, and I like that a lot. My other eternal favourite is the Scirocco.

Besides most German marques, I like the interiors of the Mini Cooper S. Looks funky but nice.

Chevrolet Beat had one of the best interiors in its price range and that too 10 years back!

This interior from the All New Jazz. Just Class.
If not for Jazz, Honda has to bring it in the upcoming Honda City.

I've been looking at this dash among others while being behind the wheel of my 99 Lancer GLXd for many years now. When I started reading this thread I was wondering if someone would talk about Mitsubishi and it sure feels nice to see a photo for a Lancer (petrol). My Invex has this same streering wheel and it's a joy to wrap your palms around!
