According to a media report, Tata Motors is likely to launch the 2019 Tiago Wizz on October 3, 2019.



Leaked details indicate that the new Tiago Wizz is expected to be offered in titanium grey colour and a black roof. The car has orange highlights on the grille and wheel caps and Wizz badging. The car also has orange ORVMs and is likely to be fitted with DurAlloy wheels, which are steel wheels with wheel caps that look like alloy wheels.

On the inside, the Tiago Wizz is likely to get dual-tone interiors, fabric upholstery with orange stitching, grey gear shift bezel, grey air vent bezel, orange air vent rings and interior door handle finished in black.

The Tiago Wizz is expected to be powered by the same 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that makes 84 BHP and 114 Nm paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Reports suggest that it will not get a diesel engine or AMT option.

So, this is basically the 'KraZ' variant of Tiago. I still can't get over the fact that they can call those wheels 'alloy'. It may be legal and very clever but it comes across as shady.

Wonder what's happening at Tata. I was hoping the facelift Tiago (with BS6 engine) and Altroz will launch during the festival season. Altroz, now we know is pushed to next year and with the launch of whizz is it fair to assume that the facelift won't be arriving for a few months?

No, this is the Wizz variant of the Tiago . Because Tiago has had a Wizz variant in the past too. This is not the first one. Last year it was available in Red and white shades. This year its available in Grey. Where does it say alloys? Its wheel caps. They are so good to look at, even alloys from some car makers look lame.

Tata Motors has launched the 2019 Tiago Wizz priced at Rs. 5.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).



The Tiago Wizz is based on the XZ variant and comes with cosmetic changes like orange accents on the grille and wheel caps, orange ORVMs and chrome Wizz badging. The car is finished in Titanium grey and has a black roof.



On the inside, the Tiago Wizz gets orange trim around the AC vents, fabric seats with orange stitching, titanium grey gear lever bezel and granite black interior door handles. It is equipped with features such as a Harman audio system, multi-function steering wheel, electric ORVMs among others.



The Tiago Wizz is available with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 84 BHP and 114 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Then the person joined at least 1.5 years ago. Since this is the 2nd year that the Wizz is available. IMO, the subtle changes look quite good & tasteful. Does take the car a notch up on bling. There are a lot of Tiagos in my housing complex. And just 2 Wizz units (from last year, in Red). The Wizz look striking & easily stand out. No question about it. They don't look like Maruti sticker jobs generally.

The Tiago diesel sells in negligible numbers. Doesn't make sense to add limited edition inventory that may not fly fast enough from stock yards.

The worst Tiago iteration IMO is Tiago NRG.

This should be called Wuss and not Wizz. Seriously, I’d like to understand the thought process behind these nonsense editions that Maruti and VW love doing. What does the customer end up gaining? If I as customer want a better Tiago, I’ll think JTP. Else, I’ll simply get the regular Tiago with all its discounts.

With so many feature additions/deletions and special editions of their products, Tata's sales advisors must be having a hard time keeping themselves up to date. The brochure printers will definitely be happy. On the other hand, it looks like a good job done to make the Tiago Wizz stand out from the regular Tiagos. Not just an external sticker job like MS.

Instead of launching limited editions like KRAZ/WIZZ ,tata should concentrate on their facelifts for Tiago/Tigor/Nexon with BS6 engines. With so many launches/upgrades happening in price range between 3-6 lakhs, Tiago facelift to be launched as early as possible.
