I did not ask this question - I was not interested in this upgrade. They don't seem to offer this upgrade as part of their standard sales pitch. However, you should be able to negotiate this. Do make sure there is a written confirmation, etc. so that there is no justification for them to hassle you about the warranty.

Is the auto-folding mirror on lock/unlock feature possible to disable? Sometimes people have to park in tight parking spots with mirrors folded, in such cases it is important that the mirrors do not open on unlocking the car.

I don't remember seeing a dedicated button to disable this function like how it was in the previous gen facelift model.

While I am not a 100% sure if this method will work, try folding-in the mirrors before turning off the engine and then go ahead with locking the car. Maybe by following this, the mirrors will stay closed even when you unlock the car next time.

Check your MiD settings. Like the Creta there must be an option to disable it.

I hope this is just a stop-gap solution until the full official review is ready. I have observed that cars which were launched or reviewed after 5th Gen Honda City have a full official review published.

re: The 5th-gen Honda City in India. EDIT: Review on page 62

Picked up my 5th Generation Honda City (2020) ZX MT i-VTEC on Dhanteras, 13th November. My Hattori Hanzo looks and feels awesome, especially the all LED setup. It's a handsome car that I hope would last me 10+ years. I am glad I cancelled my booking for Creta to pick up the City, after reading about brake failure issues on Seltos and then the 3 star crash rating on Seltos. I'll be posting a review soon. For now, as there no office commutes, I am enjoying night drives with wifey after finishing work from home.

re: The 5th-gen Honda City in India. EDIT: Review on page 62

I upgraded from my i20 2016 to the Honda City ZX CVT. Awaiting delivery this sometime week.

I skipped over the Creta AND the Kia Seltos purely for the safety factors. And the CVT so I dont have to do clutch mashing anymore. Over 1lac kms over 4 MT cars and 9 years of active driving, I've had enough of the clutch, also thanks to my ACL surgery.

From the reviews that I've read - and I've lurked on this forum for a very very long time, I seem to have made a good choice in the upgrade. Will post pics when the car comes in.

Congrats on your purchase ashwin_murali. Looking forward to your review since I am sailing in the same boat.

Sad delay by the RTO. Citing Diwali and long weekend, the delivery has been pushed from Thursday (tomorrow) to Saturday.

Go for it. The City is a fantastic mix of performance, reliability and practicality, along with piece or mind for it's simple yet robust mechanicals. Would prefer it any day over the tiny turbo petrols of today. The 4th gen has been my daily driver over 14000 kms till date , and I have nothing but good things to say about it. I hear the suspension is better tuned on the 5th gen, so that's one less issue as well. I bought the V trim as well, due to the better headroom since there is no useless sunroof.
