Feathering the accelerator and predictive braking are key for higher FE in a CVT.

One trick is to use bare-feet! Yes. True. It adds to the tactile sensation. Try it.

Predictive /anticipated braking basically means let the car coast to a stop (as far as practically possible) while approaching a red light.

These costs for prohibitive. Did you try some international ecommerce sites? They would have parts like this.

Hopefully replacement won't be such a tough task.
Yes, the headlamps are expensive, especially the LED units on the top model. I read somewhere that each cost 45K, so these figures are in the same ballpark. Regular maintenance is not much for the car but some parts especially those which are more likely to get damaged in a mishap are expensive, like the headlamps, taillamps etc.

Re: The 5th-gen Honda City in India. EDIT: Review on page 62

My left door has these lovely white deep marks thanks to the guy who parks besides my car in the society (yeah some people dont see other cars parked).

The 5th-gen Honda City in India. EDIT: Review on page 62-left_door.jpeg

I checked with the service centre and the supervisor is saying this needs a repair and paint job. I really dont want to get any repairing and repainting on the area.
Is there any other way to get the scratches removed?

Unfortunate. Even my car's door was bumped by a child riding a bicycle in the apartment parking lot yesterday whose parents didn't teach him that it is incorrect to do so. Gifted me a small ding and a scratch. The first scratch on my 1 year old car. Can't do much unfortunately but it pains car enthusiasts no end.
I am planning to use some rubbing compound and will advise you the same. Or use toothpaste and rub in a circular motion with some effort. See if it makes it slightly less prominent.

Throttle inputs make all the difference. Feather the metal- improvement will follow.

These marks look like paint from the other car. They don't appear too deep either, apply some rubbing compound yourself or have some local workshop do it.

Sorry for the late reply, keeping busy with work as I have shifted to new place. My car is mostly driven by my driver and me, I have tried light foot driving and anticipating the braking all but max I get is 9.5kmpl. Finally resorted to my natural driving style which is little heavier on right foot. I have upgraded tyres on day 0 with Michelin 195 size.

Same mileage here. Around 8.5 kmpl with my normal driving, light foot max 9.5kmpl in city what ever I do and around 13 - 15 kmpl on highways. Haven given up and accepted the mileage as what it is.

Any updates on fog lamps? I'm also planning projector fog lamps as an upgrade. Looking for Aozooms depending on how expensive it is.

The scratches if not deep could be removed with waxing or some rubbing compound. Also I would get a heavy duty premium car cover which will prevent such mishaps if the other person is going to be parking his car next to yours all the time. Covers may cause a bit of swirl mark on the car but atleast it will be by your hand and not because of someone else's mistakes. My Swift which was covered by a TPH cover was bumped onto at parking speeds by an Ertiga once. It caused no damage to paint etc and the bumper just got displaced a bit which I then just pushed back into place.
