I'm no expert, but it appears, the short answer is No. I've been trying to gather information for a Honda Amaze that's shown similar under-carriage rusting and the conclusion I've reached is to not despair at it and live with it.

Here's one of the articles that I've read: https://pickuptrucktalk.com/2021/04/...o-do-about-it/

Quoting the key point about getting another layer of anti-rust coating from the article:

Your underbody has to be pristine before starting, and you have to make sure you don’t miss anything – or defeats the purpose and lets in moisture and debris anyway.

My 2019 Amaze Petrol MT had the same issue. After a while it automatically disappeared. As for the service centre, they all have this attitude "Honda is sturdy reliable, surely the customer has only done something". I suggest you adjust your seating position in a way that the force applied on the brake lever is perfectly perpendicular downwards (press the brake perfectly downwards), that's what helped in my case.

I own a 5th gen facelift City (Petrol, MT). It's been a year since I bought the car and currently it has run 13k kms. This same clutch noise started for me at 12k kms. I haven't found the time to visit the service centre. I was under the impression that a simple lubrication would solve this noise problem. However, your post has woken me up! I will visit the service centre this week and get more information about this. Will share if the service centre here at Chennai provides a proper solution for me.

Didn't expect this from Honda. The dead pedal rubber cover of my 11 month old city has come off. I know it's not a big deal, but still. And I am the only one who drives this car.

Anyone who has a 5th gen Honda City, could you please tell me if there’s a pause button for music on the steering wheel? I’ve hit every button and looks like Honda overlooked that.

If it’s not present, could someone who’s done it tell me if the empty switches on the right side of the wheel can be replaced with a pause button and from where?

Thanks in advance.

I think there is no button on the steering wheel for pausing the music. If your phone is connected via bluetooth just tap on the power button on the digipad. It pauses and mutes the audio at the same time. However, if you are using Android auto or carplay then this would simply mute the audio.

When the digipad power button is pressed once it mutes and pauses the music. I tested it on Spotify and Apple Music on Carplay.

Re: The 5th-gen Honda City in India. EDIT: Review on page 62

Can someone please advice if going for AMC makes any sense? My car will undergo it's 3rd Free service in the next month. After that it will be yearly paid service.

I have got the following details from Arya Honda.
Quote from the email-
"
1) 1 time break down+towing

2) 3% parts+5% labours if extra repair work in car

3) Free pick up & drop facilities

4) Labour Free Coupon of Rs 2000

5) Interior cleaning / wax polish 6000/- free

6) Silencer coating 1600/- RS worth

7) AC checkup free worth RS 800/-

8) CVT oil covered amc contract worth RS 3000/-

The renewal amount for 2 Years AMC for your car is Rs. 30,999/-including CVT oil.
"

To be honest, i don't need the interior cleaning and wax polishing, silencer coating or the free pick up and drop.

Re: The 5th-gen Honda City in India. EDIT: Review on page 62

Is the service interval still 6 monthly or have they changed to Yearly? My BRV was yearly and it made no sense with AMC. They tried to convince me that they would do it 6 monthly ( for what joy I couldn't comprehend), however for my City too ( 6 monthly service) I didn't take the AMC. If you manage to remove all the unnecessary add-ons they add while servicing, it should be in the range of 6~7500 Rs for each service.

Thank you for the inputs. According to the service manual the service is yearly after the first year. So looks like even I will skip this AMC.

Re: The 5th-gen Honda City in India. EDIT: Review on page 62

Dear bhp'ians,
I got my CITY's rear bumper crushed by a really considerate auto driver. Ouch it hurts to see her like this. The showroom guy says - replace the full bumper at INR 15000 without even properly examining the options.
One local car painting workshop guy says it cant be fixed and they also can't get Honda city's (5th gen) bumper available in local market.
Any suggestions on what can be done further? Is bumper replacement the only option?
The Honda dealer I checked with is Whitefield Honda.
Attaching a screenshot.

Looks repairable to me if I’m not missing anything in the picture. It may require removing the bumper and hot water treatment to bring the bump back in shape. Honda ASC will not do it. You need to find those bumper repairing specialists.

That looks repairable. Take it to the local garage and they may be able to repaint the local area for 2-3K.

If you want DIY solution, get compaint radiant red kit for ~ 1300 and repair it (perfection not guaranteed). For such large area better take it to the local garage.

Can you get this replaced under an insurance claim? The amount you would owe under an insurance claim + the increase in your insurance premium would still be less than Rs. 15000.

I know how it feels, I just got my vehicles bumper replaced last Dec only to be smacked by a cab in 3 months. I had spent a small fortune the last time.

Is the plastic cracked? If NO then you can get it done.
If the plastic is cracked and the clips torn then best to go in for a replacement. ASC will never do plastic dent repairs only ask for complete replacement.
