Spotted, 2 Rubicon and 2 Wranglers again at same spot, but it was raining like crazy at that time.

Re: 2018 Jeep Wrangler spotted in India

I recently got a chance to drive this very same 2018 wrangler in North America. To be frank, the Fiat alliance has taught the Americans a thing or two on how to make better feeling good interiors.

The old Wrangler was a great off-roader, but the interiors were a huge let down. Even here the Wrangler Rubicon costs almost same, if not more than an Evoque. The quality of the plastics were so cheap and fit was terrible, even a Bolero felt much better put together. The arm rest, indicator stalks, etc. were so flimsy and made you feel it might break anytime.

But this new one is a great improvement. The dash board looks fresh and has soft touch materials, the door closes easily without using all your biceps output, indicator stalks are precise and dampened and drives a loooooot better! It looks like it got some inspiration from the Tacoma red, which is as good as the Wrangler off the road. I felt like FCAa heard all my complaints. I would say this is the best Jeep ever.

Well said. Now you have a package where the interior and exterior are just awesome.

Oh yes!It is a much refined product now.A lot easier to live with than before. The wind noise is solved to a great extend too.The world war willy's jeep in the welcoming display of the Sahara is uber cool. They have managed to keep the jeep driving traits without making it car-like to drive. If there is anybody here who is gearing up to buy a wrangler, my suggestion is please wait for the new model, you wont be disappointed.Adding to it there is a new 2 litre turbo petrol coming out soon.If FCA India is ready to reconsider the price, they have a winner in hand

Re: 2018 Jeep Wrangler spotted in India

Here is one of the nicest reviews I ve seen on the Wrangler JL 2018.
In late 2017 on a visit to Dubai, I had the opportunity of seeing the new 2018 Wrangler JL which had just been imported into Dubai for extensive desert testing prior to launch in the GCC markets. I was allowed to see the Jeep and sit in it etc but on strict “no photo” basis. Of course, it has been launched in those markets this year in August.

Re: 2018 Jeep Wrangler spotted in India

By the look of it, it seems to have performed well enough to gain 3 or more stars. What's then the reason for such a low rating? Lack of crumple zones to absorb the impact?

2018 Jeep Wrangler has no autonomous braking system and no lane assistance which is normally a standard norm as seen in new cars being launched.

But Jeep Wrangler apart from the above point, didn’t do so well in the Adult Occupant, Child Occupant and Pedestrian categories either, where it scored 50 percent, 69 percent and 49 percent, respectively.

Re: 2018 Jeep Wrangler spotted in India

I think the biggest issue is that the Wrangler lacks curtain airbags. It is also possible to remove the top, doors and also drop the front windscreen. I guess the added flexibility comes at the cost of rigidity.

Re: 2018 Jeep Wrangler spotted in India

Hey guys does anyone know if or when Jeep will launch the JL here in India?

I am holding off until we hear about it but there's literally no information anywhere and it's been ages since these testing pictures were captured.

Hang on brother! The new one is much better you will regret buying the old junk. Considering the minimal sales of the current Wrangler, FCA might not be in a hurry to bring it here.

Thanks for the update. The silence from Jeep has been driving me crazy. I'm happy to wait till then.
