The rear seems to be a combination of the discovery sport and mustang mach-e. Will be interesting to see the front.

The rear end looks good, but the front end might not be appealing if that humongous grill is finished in chrome. The new Azera (Grandeur) which is their most expensive sedan didn't impress me either. The front of Tucosn would look similar.

Front looks like a dead catfish :Shockked: Kia seems to be the better bet in terms of design.

Quoting myself again. This looks proportional from all angles AND most importantly has a less polarizing front and rear ends.

I absolutely love the front end look! IMO, this looks much better than their current design trend!

Teaser pictures point to a very unique and original looking Tucson. I personally love it.clap:

I feel Hyundai will not launch the new-gen Tucson since Creta 7-seat long wheelbase is already in the works.

The rear looks very much inspired by Ford Mach-E EV. Like the unique Hyundai logo placement though.

New Tucson unveiled, an optional hybrid, and all new interior.

Quote:

the 2022 Hyundai Tucson will also come in both a hybrid and plug-in hybrid variant for the first time in the US, adding power without sacrificing efficiency. What’s more, an N Line trim will proliferate to the Tucson sometime in the future, joining the forthcoming Sonata and Elantra – as well as the current Elantra GT N Line and the Veloster N – to flesh out Hyundai’s sporting portfolio. The Hyundai Tucson goes on sale in Korea this month as a 2021 model, but it won't arrive in the US until the middle of next year as a 2022.

The standard engine in the 2022 Tucson will be Hyundai’s 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder delivering an estimated 190 horsepower (142 kilowatts) and 182 pound-feet (260 newton-meters). An eight-speed automatic is the only transmission available with the direct-injected base engine.

Quote:

However, a 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid will bundle a turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-four with an unspecified electric powertrain, giving the electrified SUV an estimated 230 hp (172 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm).
It’s not clear what gearbox the hybrid crossover will use, but six-speed automatic (as on the Sonata) is a decent bet. Also on offer for 2022 will be a Tucson plug-in hybrid using the same turbo four, with range and battery specifics still unknown.

Polarizing, for sure. But I like it, even the vampire fang-like tail lights. :D

I would love for Hyundai to bring this to India by next year, but they unfortunately have a lackluster attitude towards selling their premium products in India, which is disappointing.

An Autocar UK article on the new Tucson suggests that it has an Electronically Controlled Suspension from Hyundai's N Performance Division. If you mate that with their 1.6 (or the 2.0) T-GDI, the Tucson could be incredibly fun to drive!

Hope that Hyundai brings this to India soon, even though they launched the facelift for the previous generation Tucson just a few months ago (it still looks good), as this could be a great competitor for the Skoda Karoq, and it might go one up if it comes with seven seats, as it's the perfect SUV for those who don't want a Fortuner or an Endeavour. clap:
