Fair enough on your part. But just to be fair on Mahindra, I have a 2021 GMC Yukon Denali here in Dubai, and going by the sheer size one would expect a lot of space but unfortunately, that isn't the case. I guess that's standard for most 3-row SUVs.

My 2017 Ford Flex does better at space management in a smaller package.

I agree with you that the space behind the third row in an Yukon Denali is less than that in a minivan type vehicle - but the third row is really spacious for passengers in a regular Yukon. Then there is the Yukon Denali XL of course (or the Cadillac EXT or the Suburban). There is at least more than a couple of feet of floor space behind the third row of the regular length Yukon. I would consider that useable space for long trips with all seats occupied.

In one of the videos I saw on youtube, the new Scorpio looks as big as the Ford Endy (they were parked side by side). Mahindra could have managed the length of the car to have more useable space behind the third row for at least two large suitcases. Now the backrest almost hits the rear door. May be they all want to follow the Prado design, but with a bit more space the SUV could have been much better. I don't think the extra length was going to have a major impact for occasional off-roading.

If Ford would bring their new 2L Bi-Turbo or 3L V6 Diesel Everest to India, that would be awesome. Right now we only have the rough and tumble Fortuner. Personally, the Alturas G4 is a better vehicle at the price point - it also needed a bit more space behind the third row.

Looks like the same convoy was caught by BHPian rbp too. As per him - the size is almost too huge that it might become a deal-breaker for some.

The more I see the discussions, the driving videos and the general info, the more I like the new Scorpio (and it's design and engineering team) and the more I hate the people behind the advertisement/teaser. I guess only cringe and vulgar content sell on social media these days.

That aside, can't wait to have an mStallion 4x4 Scorpio AT and put a loud exhaust on it like a madman.

New teaser by Mahindra hints at a high safety level of the Scorpio.

Yeah, I didn’t mean Scorpio per se. Whatever the new name going to be, having that badge on the side would clearly distinguish as that is one trademark of Scorpio currently. The big bold SCORPIO badge on the doors.

But the new one doesn’t look like to be having it:

From these leaked pics, especially the side and rear view, I feel this is how a new Xylo would have looked if it had survived so far and received a facelift this year.
The bold and upright stance of current Scorpio seems to be lost in this new design. But I am liking this design as well. Launch it soon Mahindra!

What about calling it "Super Scorpio 700"? This way, the car can relate to Scorpio and XUV 700 at the same time, and the "OO" end to the name is intact!

I would any day take a Scorpio with nonexistent luggage space - But with a 4+ crash test rating.

It’s much better than the Butch looking 0 star car. Good to see that they kept safety on top of their list. Not surprising considering this is on the same Thar plafform

I still believe this will be just named as the SCORPIO, maybe the old one renamed as SCORPIO Classic :coldsweat.
Remember the old scoop pics which sported the badge.

Saw the camouflaged Scorpio (2 of them) in front of my office. My 5th floor office balcony has a top view of the entire main road which is thankfully large and devoid of any speed breakers. So the 2 cars came from one side and then took a U-turn to come back and disappear back to where they came from. As luck would have it, I was at an excellent vantage point to observe them for a long time and here's what immediately came to mind:

1. Anyone who thinks that the looks don't seem to be imposing, are grossly miscalculating. Those two camouflaged vehicles easily overshadowed a bunch of Cretas, Seltos and even an Innova that were parked or moving along side.

2. Strangely they looked more Sumo(ish) to me rather than anything like the current gen Scorpio.

3. At least in the camouflage i could see more of 'squares' rather than curves.

Does anyone else here think that it may be named as XUV500! After all that name is lying unused now and would make sense.

One thing is for sure, Mahindra has perfected the formula to create pre-launch excitement. Each time they seem to launch something we have posts after posts, everyone wants in on the scoop and the excitement is evident amongst us all

Scorpio might launch on Friday 20th.

Just hoping for that lip-smacking 200 BHP mStallion to get 4x4 with the AT, will book it in an instant.

Also hoping for a captain seat variant to come in it.

Mahindra has played their cards really well in terms of the hype created

Yes. It is so obvious in the pic.

But I would rather prefer it to be named "Stinger"

Here is a video of camouflaged new Scorpio confirming Red Rage colour option.

If that "Scorpio" engrossing was not there, this thread title would have been "Next-gen Mahindra Xylo caught testing".
