Thank you for this.

Perhaps there needs to be some sort of quality check in relation to posts claiming to have insider info. It would be unfortunate if posters take advantage of the trust members have among each other on this forum.

Thanks for the images Volkman10. Going by the few discussions above, in my personal opinion doesn't look to be a 25 plus lakh vehicle to be placed above the XUV 700 or this could be the MT base version.

Yes the new generation Scorpio will come with significant upgrades, but I highly doubt if they would price it on a premium over the XUV700

Pricing the Scorpio at a premium to the XUV 7OO with the interiors looking like these would backfire big time. I hope that at least the rumours/wish list that the new Scorpio is a heavily modified Alturas/ should be Alturas replacement shall be laid to rest after looking at these interiors.

In this age where most manufacturers are moving to distracting "touch screens for everything" just because its the cool thing to do, its such a joy to see the center console filled with physical buttons and dials.

We now have so many undisguised interior images of the Scorpio, even this man is sitting inside the car. Somebody please do the honours of clicking the exterior undisguised.

Seems like Mahindra will not offer Auto Dimming IRVM (I guess the images are of top spec model considering it has Auto AC, Touchscreen etc.)

Piano Black on the dashboard area is a massive pain! Am living with it on the Marrazo and it is such a dust / fingerprint magnet. Why does Mahindra want to splash it across its cars is beyond my understanding.

The details are really good but do not agree at all with the pricing speculation. No way this is getting priced above the XUV700. Maybe what the MRV gentleman meant was, the pricing will be higher than the launch price of the XUV700 and by the time the launch the Scorpio, the XUV700 will be in a different pricing league.

Another 7-seater with non-existent luggage space though!

Be it a 5 seater sub-4m Monocoque like the XUV 3OO, Ladder Frame sub-4m like the Bolero Neo, MPV like the Marazzo, monocoque SUV like the XUV7OO or even this super tall thing, everything in Mahindra's lineup has pathetic bootspace!
Like, how do you even manage to every time mess up the same thing Mahindra? hats-off lol :Cheering:
I sincerely wish my dedication someday at work to be as consistent as Mahindra's dedication towards providing cars with no boot space! lol:

Looks like significant upgrade for the Scorpio which is great. But I dont see this sitting above XUV700.
Brand Scorpio is synonymous with ruggedness and toughness associated with more rural use cases; cant see why Mahindra would upset this customer base by pricing it above XUV.

Pathetic boot space as others have opined. How is this meant to carry 6/7 ppl with their luggages?

I hope they offer it in a 2-row configuration for those who don’t need the extra seating capacity.

Check out vehicles from more premium brands like Kodiak or Meridian, you can see that boot space less than what is expected of a decent hatchback.

So one must assume that it is intentional.

As with the vehicle that showed India what an SUV is (Pajero) , 5+2 is the intended use case ,else you will end up with a Minivan.

There was a minivan+SUV crossover once upon a time , it did not succeed and then they relaunched it with a different name - same result.

From the pics, its a good compromise in features vs practicality. These are mainly luxury features that not many will miss.

1. normal sized sunroof vs the huge pano roof in 700
2. normal seats with all manual controls vs electric in the 700
3. no full digital cluster vs the 700 full digital
4. manual handbrake vs electronic parking brake
5. no roof mounted ac just blowers in centre console

All the basics seem covered. This means that they can comfortably price the lowest 4WD AT model at 25L vs the 30+ for 700.
