According to a media report, the Tata Tiago and Tigor now get Apple CarPlay connectivity on the top-spec XZ+ trim.



Tata Motors offers a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the XZ+ variants of the Tiago and Tigor. Until recently, it only came with Android Auto.

Both the Tiago and Tigor are powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 84 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque @ 3,500 rpm as well as a 1.05-litre, 3-cylinder diesel engine that puts out 69 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 140 Nm @ 1,800-3,000 rpm. Both engines come paired with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, while the petrol version gets an optional 5-speed AMT.

The JTP version doesn’t have the 7” touchscreen system to support CarPlay/Android Auto, so NO! It wouldn’t get the above mentioned features

A Tiago JTP with Android Auto and Apple Carplay is on the way. Some 40 more units of the current version are currently under production and once this is done, the new model with have the updates.

Has anyone done a comparo of the audio quality of the system in lower variants Vs the 7 inch screen HU in the top trim?

While I have listened to the normal 5 in variant and know it's KICK-ASS, want to know how is the 7" system.

Further update:

I talked to the folks from JTSV about the new JTPs having a 7" touchscreen. They confirmed that it is indeed coming up. They did not reveal exactly when though.

The interesting point is that "existing owners of the JTPs will be given a paid upgrade option at a very competitive price".

XZ+ variants of Tiago & Tigor now get Apple CarPlay

Tata Motors now offers Apple CarPlay on the XZ+ variants of the Tiago and Tigor. The Tiago XZ+ is priced from Rs. 5.71 lakh, while the prices for the Tigor XZ+ start at Rs. 6.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).



The XZ+ variants come equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Until recently, it was only compatible with Android Auto. The XZ+ variants also get features such as projector headlamps and dual-tone alloy wheels. The Tiago XZ+ comes with an optional dual-tone roof.

I currently own a Tiago XZA 2017 and was thinking if it is possible to upgrade the infotainment system to the latest one offered on the Tiago by TATA. I was not able to find this information anywhere, hence reaching out to experts in this domain. I would love to replace my infotainment system with a latest version that would support seamless Android Auto, car play, reverse camera, etc.
