Team-BHP
(
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/)
I think as a forum of exceptionally knowledgeable people and enthusiasts, if some thoughts can be collected on
How is the ownership experience of owning a Citroen in the long run ?
How’s the reliability of their cars ?
How are the safety ratings ?
As this is an international brand, how are they doing in other markets ? What are the Positives and Cons of owning a Citroen ?
I think we should welcome new brands entering India with competent products. A lot of general public outside of our forums also read our pages and some info on the above points will help prospects definitely.

As others have pointed out, this particular video is just inverted/mirrored (obviously to rake-up views by posting exclusive 'breaking news' that the cars have reached dealers).
The screenshot at the 1:21 mark that shows Citroen as a mirror image on the door scuff plate is a dead giveaway:
Mirror the image and voila ;)
The embargo ends on 15th February; if you are shopping in this segment,
WAIT FOR IT. That is all I can say right now :D

Enuff said. My guess is it is going to be a benchmark in comfort. I initially dismissed the quirky looks when I first saw the pics and then was b-l-o-w-n away when I say that beautiful, large, unencumbured, rectangular boot. Was hit by a strong sense of nostalgia for some reason and then a lightbulb went off- this is Karan Arjun in real life! Arjun came back as Vijay, the Skoda Yeti is back as the C5- quirky looks, practical boot, breadbox shape and awesome space. Same to same. Nothing like it in the market then and nothing like it now.

:) Yup, WAITING FOR IT.....!!!
Waiting for Team BHP First Look Review, along with Key Points from First Drive.
One thing is for sure, this car has UNIQUE written all over it. Right from design, interiors, suspension, seats, to name a few. It is that kind of a car i definitely like compared to a more normal car.
I hope Citroen doesn't overprice and kill it at launch. Even a small premium of 2-3 lakhs over Hector/Harrier will make this a compelling buy for many.
GTO has upped the adrenalin levels by his one liner and few words in bold rl: Eagerly waiting for the embargo to end and read the golden team-bhp review.
The C5 Aircross would certainly have its advantages over its competitors. All depends on Citroen on how competitively they price their product or how much premium they'd want to command for their design and comfort. Exciting days ahead !

Mirror folded still does not mean mirror excluded. With Mirror excluded it is 1859. Courtesy brochure downloaded directly from Citroen France site. |
While we wait for more details after 15 Feb (when embargo ends) and from GTO/ our review team themselves :D, anyone has experienced the C5 Aircross outside India?
Does the rear passenger seat space fall short of legroom or just appears to be short? Query is due to what I see in the video below, after 4:10 timestamp.

Waiting for your review! Hope that Citroen are able to price it sensibly and just below 24L ex showroom should be a sweet spot. Jeep Compass has a void even at this range that they don't offer a 4*2 diesel automatic in the right price point and not everyone wants a 4*4 diesel Auto at the 28L ex showroom price. Jeep seriously needs to relook on all the Auto gearboxes - the kind of premium they want for just Auto transmission is around 2.5 lacs!
Lets hope their sister company from Stellantis - Citroen is able to pull off something better and can bring in a great 4*2 diesel automatic at the right price point! (And with good size boot space to boot:D). Whenever we travel outstation in our Jeep Compass, we still find the boot space too small!
When can we expect the pricing details to be released ?

This one teaser will put a lot of recent owners in the 20-25 lac category into a collective state of regret.

Anyone knows where exactly this is / to be located? Thanks |
Atria Mall - the erstwhile Reliance Trends store which was earlier the Rolls Royce showroom.

This statement just put on pause, a lot of orders in the 25 lakh segment ! :D
Love the design, there is something they have going on with that theme with the rectangular (?) shapes all over with the rounded corners.

You have upped the ante for someone who is considering Jeep Compass / 2021 Tucson for the possible upgrade in the next 3-6 months. rl:

This picture puts to rest the speculation going around in the thread off late. The gear lever is not optimized for RHD market, at least not for India! I don't think the company will provide anything short of a launch ready vehicle for the media drive!
Guys can we please stop ranting about the position of gear lever, it's an automatic so I don't think it would be an issue in terms of ergonomics. Also let the car launch, then only we would be able to know more about it.
