What's this new hobby of Tata - color discontinuation?

First deleting features and now, discontinuing really good color options! Is it purely due to lack of demand? And how inefficient is it to maintain a color shade in the palette even if it has low volumes (other OEMs still offer such low in demand shades but quote longer waiting time)?

I thought blue was one of popular shades for the Nexon and I hope they replace this shade with another shade of blue (bring back the metallic Moroccan blue!).

In the recent past, they discontinued the Yellow on Tiago. There's a yellow Tiago in the neighborhood of my parents' place. IMO, that's the best looking Tiago I have seen, even slightly better than a red or white JTP. Sad that they had to discontinue it!

Is it just me or most Nexons on the road are really blue? And they discontinued it :S
I hope another cool looking color, metallic green doesn't get the axe next.

Good that they discontinued this blue shade. I never liked it. This was not metallic shade as pre facelift blue color. I will be happy if they reintroduce pre facelift metallic blue shade.

Bizarre stuff this from Tata.

Blue is like the go-to option for many while selecting the Nexon, like its very common on roads. As others highlighted, wonder whats happening at Tata as the company recently removed features, made small design tweaks and now this..at this point, wouldn't be surprised if they reveal more changes in the upcoming weeks. Seems like a mid-cycle refresh to me at this point.

It would have been at least better if they did something like S version of Nexon like a proper mid-cycle refresh or at least launched something like a 2021 Nexon and made these changes in one go instead of doing this gradually.

Tata has this habit of changing color option every now & then, but the most prominent shade seems to be Blue.

Tata Tiago had the most changes.

Striker Blue


Ocean Blue


Tectonic Blue


Arizona Blue (Currently on sale)


Even the launch colors (Orange/Brown/Cherry Red/Titanium Grey) are no longer on offer.


With the Nexon, I am expecting either the Harbour Blue from Altroz or the Teal Blue from Nexon EV as replacement for this Tectonic Blue.
