re: Tata Nexon Facelift spied. EDIT: Launched at Rs 6.95 lakh

I don't know what logic they have to not introduce xta and xza. There's such a huge price gap for someone who's only interested in their AMT offerings.

The answer is in the second part of the your statement. There is a huge demand for automatics these days. So, anyone looking at Nexon would be forced get the XZA+ if they want the automatic with at least some of the creature comforts.

For getting the price below 10L Ex-showroom they have the XMA. Though i am not sure how this is all going to play out with the updated BS6 prices (at least the petrol would still be below this mark). Until, a competitor comes up with a variant equivalent to XZ as an automatic Tata doesn't have to do anything.

re: Tata Nexon Facelift spied. EDIT: Launched at Rs 6.95 lakh

What Tata is thinking, Rs 90K and 140K price hike for BS-VI upgrade . Yes it includes a face lift but I don't see any major feature additions, where is the sunroof?
Even Innova BS-VI price increase is much lesser than this.

Breeza will easily manage its 1.5L pertol (higher tax bracket) within 90K.

Would still undercut the current XUV300/Venue/EcoSport by slight margin. Afterall they would have further bump in pricing once BS VI kicks in. Hope rear wash/wipe & defogger is made standard too. If this can't sell, I don't know what will

I think TATA can manage with this hike.

Petrol price

Venue SX (O) - 10.65
Ecosport Titanium + - 10.40
XUV300 W8 (O) - 11.64
Nexon XZ+ - 9.53

Diesel price

Venue SX (O) - 10.89
Ecosport Titanium + - 10.9
XUV300 W8 (O) - 12.14
Nexon XZ+ - 10.49

So with the speculated 90K/140K hike BS6 XZ+ petrol would cost 10.43 & BS6 XZ+ diesel would cost 11.89 and yet undercuts BS4 petrol price of competition and would probably be at par for diesel while getting comparable feature set and a new face. Also has 5 star crash test rating in it's favour.

Considered Delhi ex showroom prices and didn't consider dual tone, S variant of Ecosport to keep it simple.

I think these are just speculated price hike and the actual will be much lower retaining Nexon's value for money proposition.

There is no BS4 petrol Brezza to have a comparison on the price hike. There is no reference point for the pricing of BS6 petrol Brezza.

They have me mentioned a floating roof in the XE version. Is that the sunroof?

No, that would be the blackened C-Pillar which gives it the look of floating roof as can be seen in the colour options section in that post

This is not apple to apple comparison IMO, others have additional equipment like six airbags, sunroof etc. which as per this leak is not there in Nexon.

True, my point was just that even after falling in lower tax bracket, Nexon 1.2P may not be able to undercut Breeza 1.5P.

Re: BS6 Tata Nexon facelift feature list out

if that is the actual hike for bs6 variants across all manufacturers then the auto industry can say goodbye to turning around the downward spiral. If anything people will start looking at used car market now to save big money. You could buy a decent used car for 1.4 lakhs these days.

Re: BS6 Tata Nexon facelift feature list out

I am not sure of the price hike figures quoted here. For the diesel I guess we always expected a significant increase but to have the petrol increase by 60k to 90k is too much IMHO. Also, didn't Mahindra already release the XUV300 with a BS6 petrol engine for 30k more.

IIRC it was 20K.
Maruti has upgraded many of its cars to BS-VI with 15-25K increase.
This news looks to be a rumour, Nexon price was increased by 15K for petrol and 30K for diesel just a week back.

Re: BS6 Tata Nexon facelift feature list out

The price increase is definitely a rumour. A quick search on Carwale tells me that the XZA+ Diesel is 11.4 ex-showroom as on today. If we factor in the 140,000 speculated price hike, XZA+ Diesel will come to around 12.8 ex-showroom. Please don't laugh, the joke starts from here. The new XZA+(O) Diesel variant will at-least be 30k over this (without sunroof), so we are looking at an ex-showroom price of over 13-lacs for the Nexon D true top-end. Kia Seltos HTK+ Auto at 13.5 ex-showroom is a much-much better deal than this.

I echo your thoughts. Nexon is the top contender for me but this unusually larger price hike is making it like a very bitter pill. I was also hoping for the sunroof to be there in top end and also the Altroz's part-digital instrument cluster. Ofcourse, both sunroof and instrument cluster are not a deal breakers but the price is. With these quoted price hikes over and above the Jan increase that was already enforced, suddenly Kia Seltos is appealing back to me like a great deal

Is the nexon going to get ESP as standard across all variants? There's no mention of it here in the brochure but over in the Altroz thread, it says it would.
