Updated Duster to be priced starting from ₹ 7.99 lakhs.

While the variant's line-up is set to remain more or less unchanged, an important addition will be the introduction of all-wheel drive on the mid-spec Duster RxS. Presently, AWD is only available on the fully-loaded Duster RxZ, which is priced at Rs 13.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). As it’ll miss out on a number of features compared to the RxZ, the RxS AWD version of the Duster facelift should be priced notably lower than the current Duster RxZ AWD.

So, as per the video shared above, the RxS variant looses out on Front Fog Lamps, Alloy Wheels, Rear Washer-Wiper-Defogger among other things unknown at this point of time, but gains Projector Headlamps with LED DRLs and also LED Rear Combination Lamps.

I just hope and wish that with these feature revisions, Renault can price the RxS AWD model at Rs.9.99 Lakhs ex-showroom and surprises us. The current RxS variant is priced at Rs.9.21 Lakhs ex-showroom Mandi (Himachal Pradesh), and with these and more feature deletions from this variant, I am sure they can price the new RxS at Rs.8.99 Lakhs and the AWD at Rs.9.99 Lakhs.

All things taken, food for thought why would they road test it in Rohtang, if there are no changes to engine specs ?

After seeing the video, Renault shouldn't have bothered launching this variant at all.

It's so half hearted that it almost makes it look like Toyota put in more effort in the Glanza than Renault put in for the facelift.

They just slightly changed the dash with same old head unit not from Kicks and same door pads. Exterior change headlights and grill.

Doesn't look like Renault is even interested in selling this here.

From what I've heard and read, the Duster was at Zoji La for the Ad Shoot and not any testing per se. Though it would also have been undergoing testing as well. Let's just wait for 5 more days for full disclosure of specifications of the, so called, new Duster and see.

There are no rear AC vents in this so called facelift of Duster.

Inspite of all the bashing of the facelift, this still remains the only SUV with a proper AWD and offroad capability under 15 Lacs. I guess that's why it is still selling. I would rather buy this then buy one of the toys that we are being launched dime a dozen nowadays. I just cant imagine companies claiming to launch SUV that don't have even an iota of offroad capability.

When we have such interesting launches like Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Hyundai Venue and upcoming Creta Facelift, this product seems late by at least 5 years in the market. Duster sold well surpassing the expectations of Renault when it was launched a few years back. Now it seems they have become complacent. First Captur and now this. Renault doesn't seem to be interested in the Indian market anymore.
I think the only way it can sell is to price it cheap and let the Taxi market lap it up.

Creta will be an all-new model based on the Seltos. Full model change not facelift.
