Not too sure about how good MRF tyres are especially in terms of road noise and comfort. Or should one swap to Michelin(although they don't seem to have tyres in this size) or other premium brands right after delivery ?

If you looking for less road noise and comfort, MRF will disappoint you. My Ecopsort had MRF's and it was pretty bad. My Swift's Yoko's felt better even though it came with hard compound.

Have been spotting a lot of Carnivals on the roads recently. Have seen 5 this week alone. There is no denying the sheer road presence it has. Looks regal on the road and seems to be pretty sprightly considering its size. I can see a lot of politicians shifting away from their beloved Innovas for this.

I second you on this, MRF produces budget tyres hence a flagship getting the same makes me quite skeptical. Moreover, they aren't the best out of lot in terms of anything. I would highly recommend swapping them with anything superior, even Apollo or Bridgestone for that matter.

MRF tyres are 100% O.E. fitment on all Kia Carnivals. (source from MRF management themselves!!)

Re: Kia Grand Carnival MPV coming in 2020. Edit: Launched @ 24.95 lakhs

I'm yet to drive a Carnival but have seen it in flesh and had a close look. One thing that's been on my mind which I want to know the opinion of team bhpians is it's ground clearance.

The Carnival sits quite low (for an MPV) to naked eyes even when not laden. It's unladen GC is 180 mm. I just wonder how would it fare over the plethora of unscientific speed breakers we find all over our roads when it has 7-8-9 people on board plus the luggage. A 20-25% diminution in GC is expected when it's on full load ( my guess ). Besides it's got a very soft suspension set up too which makes it even more tricky. Has Kia overlooked this fact?

Re: Kia Grand Carnival MPV coming in 2020. Edit: Launched @ 24.95 lakhs

The Carnival came in yesterday & I sneaked out for a short drive. Based on a 5 km drive, I have to say this is a huge, luxurious van! Lots of space, features & quality (the buttons feel as good as in Mercedes' & BMWs). Refined & quick engine, smooth gearbox and comfortable ride quality in the city. What I haven't liked in this short drive is the effort that the steering requires at low speeds (it's firm). Also, for me personally, the van-body style is the biggest deal breaker. For the same money, I would any day buy one of the stylish SUVs (Endeavour, Fortuner, Kodiaq) as looks are super important to me. As an Innova upgrade though, this car is top class. Heck, it makes the Innova look like a compromise from a class below now.

Leaving for a long highway drive in an hour or so .

I have driven my new Carnival for 2K km before I got stuck with lock down.
So far the drive is pretty good and no complaints.
But one thing is of concern is the GC. I have driven with 7 people (Limousine) and had to slowdown on very bad roads (driven in remote villages). If there is big pothole in the middle, at speeds of 60km too, it would hit bottom protection.
I am yet to encounter an unscientific speed breaker which would create problem for this vehicle. Good side is, most small speed breakers are taken with out any body roll and its better than XUV (my old car) at those.
