What is Honda's design team doing?
This does not look pleasing to my eyes. In fact, every other compact SUV here looks better than this.

The new Honda WR-V continues to get the existing WR-Vs dashboard (with some tweaks) including the odd looking infotainment screen.

Honda has habit of reserving such thing for facelift and sacrificing the current product.

They did it with Amaze, BR-V and now this.

IMO, unless its just a small investment to accommodate this model, Honda India should skip this.

Nope. All updates in 2023.

In terms of equipment list, the WR-V seems to be severely lacking to compete with Venue, Sonet and Brezza (lack of sunroof, ventilated seats, 2nd row AC vent). In terms of design, the Amaze-derived headlamps (for base model) and interior design may disappoint Indian customers. If Honda wanted to compete properly in this segment, the WR-V needs major revamp before Indian introduction - or lower the price to compete with the likes of Magnite, Kiger and Punch.

Honda can shut shop and go home. In a growing market, they are turning up to the party with sub standard automobiles like this new-gen WR-V and a built-to-cost Creta rival. Instead of minting money with HR-V, CR-V with good modern powertrains at premium prices, they insist on selling these low-cost, low-margin models which have ruined their reputation for high quality. Most people have given upon this brand which was once known for disruption and innovation.

Honda's mid SUV announced, while its New WR-V too is likely to arrive later. ( not announced yet)



- Honda’s new midsize SUV will measure around 4.2-4.3 metres in length and will be based on an updated version of the platform used by the Amaze in India.

- SUV will have a coupe-like appearance with a tapering roof.

- Will come with petrol-hybrid, pure petrol powertrains

- Is likely to have a sticker price of Rs 16 lakh to Rs 18 lakh.

- Honda’s new SUV is expected to get a 1.5-litre petrol as well as a 1.5-litre petrol-hybrid.

- The new Honda SUV is expected around April-May 2023

This is so disappointing. With all the hype, they will launch the facelifted WRV with the same 1.2 litre engine and no CVT option.
I am waiting on a Hybrid mini SUV from Honda to replace my Hyryder booking as the same is being delayed by the dealer for not buying his expensive add-ons.
