Now, the folks frequenting Team-BHP know that the vehicle supposedly has much more to it than the ads allude to, and will look beyond the ads, defeating the purpose of teasers.
Sadly my dear chap. Most of the buying public seem only to be interested in what these ads are showcasing. An SUV in India, still merely means more real estate, “road presence” ! (Oh! How I HATE that term!) and vast people carrying ability. We haven’t yet, barring a few people, evolved beyond these basic requirements. Hence, Tata seems to merely be playing to the gallery, and you and I and many others on TBHP and elsewhere, sadly, are NOT a part of that gallery.

Looks to be about the size of the XUV to me. Slightly elongated but height wise probably the same which makes me wonder where does this fit in comparison to the hexa

Elementary my Dear Watson..

Assuming the Alloy wheel to be of 18 inches, measured the corresponding height of the gentleman to be 5'5"

So the Harrier can be assumed to be ~1670mm.. Taller than Compass (1640), Creta (1630)

and in the territory of Tuscon (1660) & Tiguan (1672)

To compete (in height) with XUV(1785) this baby really needs a set of roof rails!

But rather than overall height , a SUV should have good bonnet height, which for Harrier at ~4 Feet

seems absolutely menacing when it will be seen through your IRVM.

Well, even with this menacing stands, the new front design shall ensure that the headlights (on Lowbeams) don't look like highbeams on our ORVMs (hopefully!). Thanks to the designers for going this way.

Someone had posted the dimensions earlier in the thread. Car is about 10 cm less than XUV in height. That would be almost as tall as the Duster/Terrano.

Dimensions in mm (L x W x H & Wheelbase)
Hexa: 4788 x 1903 × 1791 & 2850
XUV500: 4585 x 1890 x 1785 & 2700
Harrier: 4575 x 1960 x 1686 & 2740

The Hexa is the longest. Hexa / XUV500 are equally tall. The Harrier is the widest and has a long wheelbase (comparable to the Innova Crysta - 2750mm).

Wrong assumption, in the first of the testing videos the height of the alloys was R17 as captured in a screenshot. The tire size used was 235/65 R17 hence the tire diameter(does not change with rim-size) is 29 in. Basing on that and the relative pixel sizes of the tire diameter and the height of the vehicle 1656 mm. But to be honest this is a very inaccurate way of measuring the height. I think the height would be in line with the H5X and 1686 mm.

Just a small correction. Hexa is 4788 mm long not 4708. It's longer than Fortuner and Innova. Only behind Endeavor and Trailblazer (now discontinued) by a few mm.
