But it looks like a very well-rounded package and that should help it sell very well in the market.

Priced at a premium as compared to Creta, but the price is justified I feel especially compared to Creta with all the goodies on offer. What choices do we have ?
Even hatch backs cost over a million now in cities like Bangalore.
Also the alternatives in the segment - Harrier, XUV or Hector fall in similar price range.
And for those looking at Jeep compass, Seltos is a much sweeter deal.

I think these are very bad prices. The GTK model is almost same as HTX+ , and even costlier than HTK+Auto. Don't know the logic behind it.
Also have received the official brochure from the dealer, its the same that leaked 2 days back and already uploaded in our forum here.
Kia is giving only 3 year warranty on the vehicle which is quite less than international market, which is 7 years if i am not wrong. Only 3 years warranty with new engine and a dry clutch DCT has me thinking about my booking of GTX+ DCT

Decent pricing.

With the Hector and Seltos launch, the older players will hopefully have to take a hard look at their (sometimes ridiculous) pricing strategies.
With new entrants priced aggressively and overall slump in sales, I expect huge discounts in the next few months on older cars!

It was expected that there would be no mention about the 2 GTX+ Auto variants. The difference of 1L between GTX Manual and GTX Auto would be applied to GTX+ Petrol Auto and it would be around 16.99 and GTX+ Diesel Auto would be at 17.49. Definitely not aggressive pricing and Onroad price would cross 20L, even in states with the least tax.

HTE variant is just launched to keep price the car start price bracket lower. The model would be discontinued soon and would not suggest anyone to opt for that. HTK is nicely priced and one gets a decent amount of bells and whistles in that.

My first impressions

1. Good overall package

2. Pricing is definitely on higher side when you see Hector. Many variants have pricing above Hector top variants albeit wth higher features and AT in offering.

3. Good to see diesel AT variants which hector doesn't offer

4. Saw Mr Bhat taking a jibe on Hector by saying, " We would never announce closure of bookings"

5. Looking at all the above, it seems MG played its Card really well by openly annoucing the closure of bookings. In a way giving opportunity for Seltos to price it up and Kia took the bait.

This is how Seltos stacks up against its competitors.

Pricing of the higher variants aren't competitive. 1.4 GTX DCT is priced @ 15.99 against Hector Sharp AT @ 16.78 with Hector being a size bigger, more power and features. GTX+ DCT would be more expensive than Hector I guess.

The price difference between petrol & diesel for HTE & HTK is 30K & 20K respectively but the difference shoots up to 1 lac for HTK+ & HTX.

Agree, now if MG comes up and says, guess what, we are reopening the bookings with the same introductory prices, KIA will be dead on birth!

Can someone list what are the major features as per official specs?

If you try to compare the similar Ex-showroom price of other cars you might get a rough idea.

For example, I am comparing with Tata harrier XM (around 14L ex) - coming to 17.8L on road in Bangalore. So Seltos should be roughly 17-17.5L

The difference between Manual Diesel HTE and HTX + is 5 L. And that would convert to 7 Lakhs on road. And this difference does not change the Heart ( Engine ) of the vehicle; but only the cost for all the goodies
