Hyundai introduces 3 year car packages.

Hyundai has introduced some service packages for several models from their line-up. These are available for the Eon, Grandi10, Elite i20, Xcent, Active i20 and the Verna can be availed from any authorised dealer across the country.

The new program is called Hyundai Customer Care Programme (HCCP). It is a service package for the aforementioned models but currently available for petrol variants only. HCCP includes preventive maintenance for up to three years or 1,00,000 km. Customers opting for this package also get one year extended warranty over their existing warranty. Except for the Verna, the carmaker is also offering free roadside assistance for an additional year on the Eon, Grand i10, i20 and the Xcent.

Prospective buyers should however note that HCCP does not cover replacement of worn out parts or accidental damage. It also excludes wheel alignment and balancing, which if required by a customer can be availed at an extra cost. Also, the workshop will make use of mineral engine oil under HCCP and synthetic oil will be charged extra. For the moment, HCCP can be had only by private Hyundai car owners, while taxi and commercial vehicles are not eligible.

Check out the car model-wise pricing for HCCP -

Eon - Rs 13,999

Grand i10 - Rs 15,999

Elite and Active i20 - Rs 17,999

Xcent - Rs 17,999

Verna - Rs 15,999

Elite i20's package costs more than that of the Verna ? Quite expensive I would say. Not required really. For i20 the first 3 years would not exceed 15000 Indian rupees.

Well, the 17999 also includes 1 year additional extended warranty + road-side assistance, doesn't it ?

Re: Hyundai Customer Care Programme (HCCP) - 3 year maintenance plan & more

Thanks for sharing!

1. That is dirt cheap! Considering:

- The price includes taxes!
- It's up to 1 lakh km
- Works out to barely 5 - 6k / year, no matter how much you drive (doubt any car owner will exceed the km cap)
- Extended warranty for a year is thrown in (easily worth 3 - 6k)

2. Isn't the Verna's pricing odd? It's cheaper than the i20 and on par with the Grand i10.

What's the catch?

Re: Hyundai Customer Care Programme (HCCP) - 3 year maintenance plan & more

If you look at the verna owners manual and the xcent service manual ( both are available at (http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techni...df-format.html)
The verna has a somewhat optimistic service schedule( or the xcent is pessimistic)
Some key differences after comparing the petrol engine version service schedules

Xcent - Clean spark plugs clean every 10k kms, replace at 150K
Verna - No mention on cleaning, but replace at 60K

Xcent - Clean throttle body every 10K Kms
Verna - No mention

Xcent - Brake fluid - Replace every 30K
Verna - Inspect only

Xcent - Cabin filter - Replace every 10K
Verna - Clean @10k, replace at 20

Xcent - Fuel filter - Replace every 30K
Verna - Inspect @ 30, Replace at 60K

Xcent - Tyre rotation every 10K
Verna - Inspect only

I am pretty sure these labour charges will easily add up to the difference. Now the question is, why does a smaller, simpler car need more service, or alternately, why are these things considered less critical in the verna?

Excellent post .

My guess - superior quality of part? Like the longer drain intervals with synthetic oil over mineral oil? Or how the Innova's timing belt has a change interval of 1.5 lakh km, whereas a lot of competitors have it lower?

The catch is New Verna has 3 years standard warranty. The others cars in the list have only 2 years standard warranty and they get additional 1 year EW in this package. That explains the low price for Verna .

Re: Hyundai Customer Care Programme (HCCP) - 3 year maintenance plan & more

While purchasing the Grand i10, I was very keen to subscribe to this program. However, as per the dealerships from Feb 1, at least for Grand i10, Hyundai has discontinued the offer.
The Grand i10 now has a standard 3 years/100,000 kms warranty (prior to this it was 2 years/ unlimited kms), and now comes with 3 years road side assist as standard.

Thanks,
