Even a Black Creta is more menacing than this sedan styled SUV, westerners might love it, we don't! Old one was gansta worthy, it had a 3.0 diesel too! sad to see everything being toned down

Here in Texas, the level of menacing is pretty high with hummers, GMC and Toyota trucks. The Q7 looks more car-like by comparison, don't think they could make it look that butch even if they tried .

Which is one of their core markets anyway, where it plays a minivan role. My friend bought a GLE recently at Seattle and it is his wife who uses it for home/kids duties.

In India, these vehicles need to have road presence, butch looks and a certain air of dominance because they are used differently and hence it simply hasnt cut it here, ever since this model was launched.

Do they sell the Q7 with black interiors in India? It is mentioned in their brochure but I have not come across a single car with black interiors.

Not sure, but, it could also be due to the fact that black interiors make even the cabin of Q7 feel claustrophobic. We tested both side-by-side, sitting multiple times in both and finally picked up the cream coloured one.
