Re: Maruti launches the first NEXA service station

We have a newly launched Nexa in my hometown, Anand. I keep receiving calls from both normal MASS and NEXA Service to bring my MS Brezza for fourth paid service. It seems both the service stations are competing with each other to pull customer towards them. It is strange because the owner of both the service stations is the same.

Yesterday, Out of curiosity I visited NEXA service for some minor issues. They attained me on a priority basis and solved my issues instantly. Moreover, NEXA service was not overcrowded like normal MASS. Overall, I liked the NEXA experience. I am ok to pay 8 to 10% premium on service charges. I "ll prefer NEXA for my next service.

Re: Maruti launches the first NEXA service station

I went to the NEXA service station in kilkattalai in chennai today and I'm quite impressed. I was there to take care of a rattling rear parcel tray & a software update for the HU for my S cross. The setup is good, a very posh customer lounge with coffee machines, soft drinks, cookies and everything. The staff are very friendly and approachable. They don't seem to have a lot of cars coming in though. This could be because a lot of people still think Nexa Service centers take care of nexa cars only. I will post regarding the quality of work done when I go for my 30k paid service which is due in 3 months.

I think Nexa Service is exclusively for cars purchase thru Nexa.

Please clarify if anyone has confirmed information otherwise.

Cheers

They service non nexa cars too. I saw an Alto K10 and a couple of swifts being serviced today when I was there. I'm not sure how much of a premium they charge compared to the regular ones.

You are correct, 15-20% premium is charged as per the above article dated June, 2017.

Cheers

Re: Maruti launches the first NEXA service station

Their service is also good, I did my 30,000 kms service there and got my HU updated to Android auto as well. Its also possible to get half day worth of work done by waiting at the lounge while they work your car

Re: Maruti launches the first NEXA service station

Can anyone help me with the location of NEXA service centers located in Bangalore.

For the 30K service, I'm thinking to part ways with Bimal Auto Old Airport Road and get it done in the NEXA exclusive service centers. Any other suggestions are also welcomed.

Yesterday staff from NEXA was distributing pamphlets near our house regarding free check up from Banaswadi NEXA.I think its from Garuda auto craft outlet. They might have opened the service station there.Location is opposite to Big Bazaar shop, outer ring road.

Re: Maruti launches the first NEXA service station

Got my Baleno's 30k service done at Nexa service, Kalamassery, kochi. Truly pleasant experience. No pushing for value added services and i find they have charged no premium when i compar e it to the previous service.

The service advisors communicate very well of the status and the estimate. You have the option of using the lounge to hang around and watch while the car gets serviced.

They service non-nexa cars too. They have a limit in the number of non-nexa car intake in a day. Typically, i was told, its 5 non-nexa cars out of 25 cars in a day.

Re: Maruti launches the first NEXA service station

Were you guys provided with live video feed during your service? I was not aware of this during my swift's 3rd free service. Nexa guys did not provide live video feed nor inform me anything regarding it.

I too did my service at Pillai & Sons kilkattalai Nexa. Were you provided with live feed? Live feed was not shown in the lounge screens for other cars too during my time there.

Thank you.

A late update: The 30k KMS paid service first. When I had gone there for the 1st time for the minor jobs, I had a chance to interact with the GM service (Mr Anand, who was a thorough gentleman). I checked with him the possibility of using my own engine oil during the 30k KM paid service which I was planning to get done. The GM agreed but said that they would update in the job card & the system that oil was provided by the customer. I was fine with this and I'm also aware that this is standard practice in MASS when customer supplies consumables.
I took an appointment and turned up at the service center on the allotted date with my can of oil. I told the SA that I have my own engine oil and this was agreed between me & the GM. He immediately becomes aggressive and tells me that Anand (who was the GM I met with) does not work there anymore and they do not entertain such requests. While I agree that a MASS is well entitled to refuse service or to say that they won't use my oil, I expect a bit of courtesy & professionalism while they convey their message. I felt that the SA and his Manager who was around were very rude and arrogant with me. I drove off and got the service done at a regular MASS (with my own oil).

In the second instance, I felt my car was taking a little longer than usual to crank up during cold starts and wanted to check my battery. I decided to try the same Nexa service center (pillai's at kilkatalai). I went there early in the morning and was the 1st customer for the day. I encounter the same SA again, first thing he asks me is whether I have an appointment. Unfortunately, I had not sought an appointment. I tell him my problem (I'm not sure whether he recognized me) and he immediately calls a mechanic who checks the water levels in the battery and says everything is fine. I requested him to run their diagnostics and he reluctantly tells me that for that he will need to raise a job card. I ask him to raise a job card and he rushes inside. After a while, he comes and says the jumper cable required to run their diagnostic equipment is in their recovery van and that he has no idea when it will be available. I went to my regular MASS and they happily completed the job in 20 minutes and told me the battery is OK.

I'm not going back ever again to Pillai's Nexa service in Kilkatalai ever again.

Overall, I have wasted my time and energy with them twice. I was sent away without getting anything done on my car on both occasions. I had to wait for about an hour at the first instance and around 45 minutes the second time. I have to drive 10 KM to the Nexa service station, the regular MASS is only 500 meters from my home.

Re: Maruti launches the first NEXA service station

3rd free service review at Pillai & Sons kilkattalai Nexa Service for my Swift Zxi+

The infamous Mondovi motors service template is still the norm for all free services in Maruti. And this Nexa service was no exception.

Contacted Nexa through message option on Google maps. They responded well. GM spoke with me regarding Shell oil and he was okay with me providing it(must be MGO). I was really impressed with this initially. Sourcing the oil:

Even the Nexa service here(they use Castrol) was not ready to place an order for it in spite of me ready to wait. Reaching Maruti too didn't yield any solid result. TSM spoke with Nexa manager and Nexa was thinking of placing an order on Amazon. Who would have borne the shipping cost of Rs.360 remains a question. Fortunately, I was able to source it from Autodrome Chennai.
I am not sure about TSM in the above quote, but he was definitely from Maruti Chennai.

I went on a Sunday after fixing an appointment. One customer was waiting at the lounge and another was in the process of handing over his car. The center was free without much activity. GM was not available on that day. At the time of handing over my vehicle, I wrote my requirements on paper and asked the SA to hand it over to the mechanic.

1. No wheel rotation.
2. Don't pour screen wash.
3. Clean both air cleaner filter element and AC filter with compressed air.
4. Service both disc and drum brakes.
5. Clean condenser with low pressure washer
6. No electrolyte check needed.

Seeing this, SA commented that these were included in the service itself. I politely told him that I know it's included but these are usually not done by any dealer services and that's why I have chosen to try Nexa this time.

The bays near the glass window were free(at least 1 was free definitely) when I entered the waiting lounge. Then cars were parked in those bays but no work was happening. I guess my note made them to alot a bay with least visibility through the glass windows. I could only see the back of my car at an angle only if I stand up(I am 5'11''). During my wait in the lounge, I was not able to see my vehicle on the list of jobs displayed in the lounge screens. I wonder what could be the reason?

After a few hours, my car was washed and kept at the front for about 20 min and no SA came to me. So I chose to confront them. SA was sitting with his service manager at the desk. (What were they waiting for?)

Me: Break drum cleaning was not done. I was not able to see the front wheels but I guess it was not done too.
SA: No sir, it was done.
Me: Then what about the drum brakes?
SA: Sir, we only open it only when there is a problem (This is in contradiction to his comment when I gave my paper note)

I lost my cool here. Was full of anger inside but didn't show it outside. Started arguing like 'what is the purpose of scheduled maintenance service then, let us come only when there is a problem'. Then his service manager intervened and promised to do it. This time my car was parked in a bay in front of the glass window. They serviced both the brakes. But in the anger, I lost track of my requirements. Just wanted to get out from there.

I had to replace the air filter hose(Rs.146) due to rat bite. But the part was not available. They said they have placed the order for the part and will revert. But almost a month have gone by. Till date, they have not reverted. Have placed the order on Boodmo myself.

On a positive note, this is the first time, I got the work done in the service manager level itself without an escalation. If I had stayed cool, I could have got everything done. They did return the remaining shell oil in the can. Bill did mention 'customer supply MGO 0W20 oil'.

If I haven't confronted, they would have just changed the oil and washed my car. I wasted a few hours here for nothing. Live feed could solve these issues easily. It was not available here. Maruti! Are you listening? Please do consider our plight!

GM at the time of my service was Mr Narayanan, was courteous.
