In which segment H5X is going to be positioned, looking at the size (which in these pictures seems comparable to the Fortuner) can't think how the 5 seater will rival Creta as speculated by media.

H5X looks more like a prototype, though drool worthy, would be interesting what the actual production version looks like. I agree with a suitable and interior kit this can stremroll the fortuner. Pricing would be key. What is the production launch readiness date for this ?

Drool worthy indeed but need to see production version. My source tells me that it won't be as soon as this year. Plan is for next year but can't be so sure.

Sure hope so. A rugged, closed loop FI with reliable mechanicals coupled with a low weight for a good power to weight / torque to weight ratio and decent pricing may yet make it the affordable-no-nonsense-go-anywhere adventure tourer.

Tata seems to be getting their Mojo back. However, the shift in their SUV designs from butch and understated (Hexa, Storme) to butch and sharp (H5X) is noticeable. A fine looking concept, this.

Isn't that the new Rexton? Looks far sharper in photographs than the older Rexton but wonder if they will retain the design fully for India given that it will come in under the Mahindra badge this time around.

Love the design of the H5X though the alloy wheels could have been better IMHO. However, I don't like this new trend of rising window sil line in all modern SUV designs. Tends to make the interior claustrophobic.

Toyota officially reveals the Yaris (Sedan), expect to repeat the success of Innova Crysta and Fortuner.

- Yaris sold in 120 countries
- Customized for India
- Upper middle class is the target customers
- 7 Airbags, power driver seat, all wheel disc brakes
- 1.5l, 6 MT and 7 speed CVT

Initially, all cars will be powered by just one engine – a 108hp, 1.5-litre petrol mated to a six-speed manual and a seven-speed (step) CVT-based automatic gearbox. This engine gets tech like dual variable valve timing to give it a strong performance as well as good pulling power at low engine speeds. A diesel engine hasn't been totally ruled out for the future, but the way things are headed, Toyota admits it could be a hybrid powertrain that makes it to our shores first.

Loved the performance and enthusiasm while they launched the Yaris. Found it funny that the chief engineer of Yaris is Mr. Suzuki.
