Rumour: Silent recall on the Ford Endeavour

Thank you to the Team-BHP fan (he prefers to remain anonymous) who sent this information in. Heartfelt gratitude for sharing it with other enthusiasts!

Ford is reportedly fixing a faulty motor in the automatic headlight leveller assembly of the Endeavour. Its service workshops are silently changing the affected unit in cars that are coming in for service.

Since automatic levelling headlamps are available only on the Titanium variants, the Trend trims are likely to be unaffected by the said issue. It is not yet known whether or not a specific batch of vehicles has been diagnosed with the faulty motor.

Re: Rumour: Silent recall on the Ford Endeavour

Thanks for the news dzired

On one hand, it is good that Ford is getting the unit replaced free of cost for all customers, but on the other hand it seriously needs to work on it's quality control.

Recalls on ecosports and fiestas might be justified, but on a 35 odd lakh car they aren't.

This must be an old service bulletin. If we go by Endeavour thread, many members complained about headlamps and those were replaced under warranty. Later on, FORD simply started changing motors instead of complete assembly. I believe this was a problem globally and newer ones have upgraded motors. Maybe this hold good for vehicles manufactured before July/ August
