Drive is pretty rough with the 18 inch wheels. I am comparing it to my CEDIA, which is again a stiff suspension. I would have gone with the 17 inch if HighLine had an option for it. But on highways, it is a breeze. Very quiet tyre with damn good grip.

Looks like I spotted you sir just before Mysore on my way to Kannur. Believe me, saw Tiguan in flesh for the first time and loved every bit of it. The understated looks, front headlamps and the perfect size are altogether a visual treat for the eyes.

Probably me if it was around 8am on Friday. Tiguan in pics appear understated, more like a hatchback. But in real and from certain angles, Tiguan is elegant and has mature looks that I particularly like.

The front view is not at all imposing for an SUV standard. I believe there are technical reasons to it. The low bonnet design that curves down at the grill is aerodynamic and gives better visibility for driver. Makes it easy to drive around in Bangalore traffic and the rear and front sensors are added bonus.

Yes, you got it right. I was passing through around 8 am only. Yes, this car looks a lot like a bit elongated version of the hatchback or I would say more in line with the size of the compact SUVs. I think size is one of the USP of this car, you need not think about the parking and easy to manoeuvre at the same time.

I have no idea if this is true but my guess is that these kinds of low/curved bonnets are designed keeping pedestrian safety in mind. In my guess with basic laws of physics, this type of design attempts to just topple the fellow over the bonnet rather than first crushing all bones hip down in case the car hits a pedestrian. I won't be surprised if this was a factor in consideration along with aerodynamics on the drawing board.

Congratulations. My dealer told me that OEM mats should arrive by 1st - 2nd. Not too many aftermarket mats available either.

Thank you Sahil,I am trolling AliExpress and Amazon.de to order for mats etc. Yesterday I went to the stock yard to check the car, I wanted to check if there was water logging or any other damage to the Tiguan, didn't find anything untoward, surprisingly they had only one Tiguan in the stock yard. Hope to get the delivery before the GST changes come into effect.

Haven't been able to come across decent mats for the Tiguan. Going with Pack Poda one's as a stop gap. The dealer told me that it will take 15 days for the mats. Big back order.

Fingers crossed.
Though I made the booking on the 25th, and was told 2 weeks, which is before the 9th of Sep. I highly doubt that the dealers would keep their word, not here atleast in M.P.

With panoramic roof, it really looks nice especially with the rain. Tiguan looks good like a mini SUV in he photos above and not really like a big hatchback. I have decided that any vehicle I purchase from now on should have panoramic roof ! It brings in a spacious feel.

All the best. My dealer kept the word and delivery was very prompt without any drama.

If dealers in your state are sitting on a lot of bookings, they might try to jump queue for few influential people. That may do some harm.

I hear the GST council is likely to delay the effective date of the cess increase till after the festive season, to give some relief to the Auto industry. It has ramped up production and CKD imports on the basis of reduced post GST pricing and consequent increased demand projection for a bonanza festival season. Otherwise they will be hit with a double whammy- lower sales and dead inventory pile up.

I hear you. Tiguan's panoramic roof is the best implementation I've seen - it goes really far back with no break in the middle. Really appealing.

Panoramic roof is the feature I love the most. It is massive and cuts heat pretty well.
Though I don't get to see anything through the roof when I drive, the brightness and roominess it adds is something that makes me realize paying that extra for HighLine was worth.

I was unsure about the HighLine initially and ended up with it only because of sunroof. But after 2 weeks, I am convinced that the extra 4L premium I have paid is for some real cool stuff.

- The reverse camera has multiple functions and angles.
- Tires on HL is very good. Absolutely no road noise.
- Automatic tailgate is very useful and I use it every time I need to open trunk.

Basically anything they have added to this car is well thought out and useful. Very well engineered car indeed.
Exception is ambient lighting. They should have added color options to ambient lighting!

Here is an option that I came across and liked, the seller will ship mats for RHD Tiguan, got a confirmation, placed an order for Grey mats last night.Volkswagen imports the Tiguan. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27 - 31 lakhs-imageuploadedbyteambhp1504237078.678151.jpg

Will share my feedback once I get the mats, update on my Tiguan, full payment done, choice number done, insurance done. The dealer will take the vehicle for registration today, next week I should drive her home.

Got my Tiguan delivered today, attaching one picture and many many more to come.

Excellent. Congratulations! Safe driving and many miles to come.

I had a test drive at Mysore last week. Felt good except that the engine tune is moderate. 190/400 tune would have been very exciting. But having said that, reviews say that it can do 0-100 in under 10 seconds and that is quite good.

Not sure if it's 4X4 credentials help stability under normal usage.

Also, not sure about it's capabilities off road.

Eagerly waiting for the official review!!! Please!! 🙏
